When I read the original post, it immediately reminded me of English Bob of Unforgiven, traveling America for interesting places. Not to imply that the original poster is a bad guy though!

I'll be taking some friends from Italy this weekend as well. LSU has some of the nicest fans, so you shouldn't have a problem finding somewhere to tailgate. The Bulldog and Chimes are great bars. Make sure you see Mike the Tiger's cage. Also, try to watch the team and band march down Victory Hill. Hope you have a great time

You're not the first Englishman to do Tiger Stadium. My brother's friend came to a game last year and I could not get him to cheer in the stadium. He just sat there. I hope you're more vocal.

The guy did like his beers though!

Oh man. Nothing would please me greater than showing a proper brit the way around an LSU tailgate. Unfortunately I am far, far away. Somebody get this limey to the jdp tailgate. He needs to meet the mott and the bubba

Thank you all again for the information / invitations! What an amazing response!

I rolled into Baton Rouge about midnight last night after over 24hours travelling. Feeling a little dazed.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm so sorry if i haven't replied to anyone. I'm technologically retarded (no flash phone with internet /email!) so I'm relying on getting occasional access to the sole computer in my hotel to check the post. I'm really grateful for all the info.

I don't know where you've met Brits. But, most that I've hung out with are pretty cool people and great to drink with.
