yea. uga's president says he got heated emails at the beginning of the season saying richt had to go.

and now he's getting emails from some of the SAME people bitching cause he hasn't re-upped richt yet.

what can you say? we are cfb fan(antic)s and it's a roller coaster of emotions.

Richt finally got to play the weak arse part of his schedule.

You just bought 3 more years of mediocrity.

Say what you want, but when bad high school coaches know what the freaking rules are and how to manage a clock at the end of the game and here you are with title contender and you still frick up from time to time, That is freaking EMBARRASSING.

im right here.

ole miss 09 - sucks, sometimes you lose a close one. kind of a wtf and move on, its the SEC.

penn state 10 - the field was a piece of shite. i was more mad about that than the teams performance.

tennesee 10 - a win is a win is a win.

oh, and

I am and have always been a Miles supporter, but he certainly is not the same as he was 2-3 years ago. He's better now, learned from his mistakes and is probably the best coach in the college football today

I hope Mainieri learns to do the same thing. It can't be an easy adjustment to have to learn all the ins and outs of the recruiting process at a top SEC school like LSU.

Mainieri also needs to learn that we are all playing with the same bats and that you can still score runs with singles and doubles. I credit you with the observation last season that he "overreacted" to the new bats and I agree.

Of course coaches can learn from mistakes and change.

Our wins the last 2 years have increased? Thats kinf of important seeing how he is paid to win games. People would be bashing Saban for a year if he went 7-5

Everybody was mad. If you weren't mad after the Ole Miss game then I can only guess you are Kathy Miles, cuz this board was in full meltdown mode for good reason.

Miles lost that game because he was stupid.

Thank heavens he learned his lesson.

BTW, the field was shite against Penn State, but he still allowed them to call a receiver screen in the middle of the field, the same shite that Kiffin did that lost him the game against Stanford.

Like I said, is it too much to think that maybe, just maybe the criticism was deserved and Miles learned from it? Especially being he hasn't made those mistakes since?

BTW, this was your reaction? For real? Please go cheer for Ole Miss. There's like thousands of empty seats for people just like you who wanna sit on their hands. I guess I just have too much passion for my team. Oh well.

I wasn't posting here till this season but I'll tell you what I said last year.... If he wants Crowton bad enough to keep him, then Miles can catch the next bus out of Baton Rouge. He listened.

I sort of took the Tennessee & Ole Miss games from '09 in stride, but the Penn State game sort of pissed me off for several reasons.

The only game that I was truly furious about during those years was the '09 game against Florida. That was the most angry I had been over an LSU football game since those nightmare games against Alabama and Auburn in 2002. Man, I felt like I was about to go strangle somebody I was so mad.

If you say that you didn't want him gone after the Ole Miss timeout debacle a couple years ago, then you are full of it.

Your lying if your saying u did not have a bad feeling about things at the times those happened, the only real excuse is the field vs penn st, maybe (they had to play on it too)

Sorry to disappoint you Doc but I'm not on here as much as some. Looks like my post were limited in '09 and none addressed the Miles controversy.

But here's a few more examples for you from '08 and '10. Fact remains people were saying stupid shite about CLM and I was defending him. I've always been a supporter and believer in him.

While I tend to usually agree with this logic, I do think Miles has grown into the job and is a better coach now than he was in 2005. Similarly, I think Saban probably learned some things and is a better coach now than he was while he was here as well.

I'll say it...and I'm not full of it, I never even once considered wanting him gone after the Ole Miss timeout issue.

YES, it was a low point. Name me a coach who's never made a bone headed decision?

Should Dallas fire their coach because he iced his own kicker yesterday?

Analogy: Getting a flat tire is frustrating as hell, but you don't sell your car when you get one!

Lots of fans need to learn to manage expectations.

It's admirable to pursue perfection...it's unrealistic to think it can be achieved!
