I can say this.

or ever doubted him.

But I can't say this.

I defended him hardcore from 2006 to 2008, but man, all the constant criticism started to wear on me. With all the "face reality, Crowton's not going anywhere" threads in late 2010, I was seriously worried.

Moots, I think it's pretty obvious that you're one of those guys who has no life, so you have to spend all your time on here constantly stirring up negativity and trying to make everyone else miserable. You should learn to be more positive like Sid.

To say nothing has changed is ridiculous.

To say/think there was something wrong with coach after he goes 34-6, with 2 West titles, and SEC title, and BCSNC cause LSU went 8-5 in 08 without considering the loss/impact of RP and Bo was the most ridiculous of all. imo

One non-ranked, poor SEC season and we got some running around in the sky is falling mode.

34-6 from 05 to 07 and 33-6 from 09 to 11

All done when the SEC/SECW is stronger/deeper than at anytime in its history with 6 BCSNC from 4 different schools.

Totally disagree. He had the two headed DC once and kept Crowton way too long. He now has competent coordinators.

Always been a big Les guy, but this is not true. He is a better coach now than he was in 08-09. Just like all of us are probably better at our jobs than we were three years ago. Les would tell you the same thing.

Still here. I never wanted him gone, and the only time I doubted any of his decisions was when he took his sweet time letting Gary go after last season. That made me sweat.

Even after Ole Miss I didn't want him gone. The game made me mad, but we weren't a national championship team that year. I understood that shite happens and that people make mistakes.

All that being said, he is definitely growing as a coach. He has figured out what kind of program he wants to run and the kind of coaches he needs to hire, and has been incredibly successful in it. Even the players say they've noticed a change in him, and that he seems more like he's "part of the team" and will ride or die with the team this year.

I see Florida 2010 as the game that turned his career around. I think that was when he stopped caring what people said or the advice people gave him, he was going to run the program as he saw fit.

Me neither and I supported him, never wanted him gone but had some serious doubts in his judgement after Mallory/Peveto and Crowton. Particularly when Crowton returned last year. Always wanted to keep him, but started doubting his hiring/retaining of staff and the aftermath of the Ole Miss game didn't instill confidence.

But I figured he was a better bet to turn it around than a new hire, and still better than 90% of the other HC's out there.

The loud people are quiet and the quiet people are loud. Not a hard concept to understand.

exactly

90% of fans singing his praises now are bandwagon Miles fans whether they will admit it or not. I haven't liked the guy from the start and still don't like him to this day. I support the team of course, but I don't like the guy at all. A lot of people think that they are being a "better fan" or that they are "apart of the team" if they just bow down to anything he says or does. Its easier that way than having an opinion of your own.
