Yes.

Any LSU football player that is enough of a POS to gang up and kick a guy on the ground doesn't deserve to wear the uniform.

Sorry for being ethical and expecting guys who are getting a free ride to act in a way that reflects positively on the university.

A group of thugs kicking the shite out of a helpless guy is not how I want other people to think of LSU, especially hiring managers when they look at my resume and see LSU under Education.

Not only should the sons of bitches be railroaded they should be tarred and feathered and exiled from the campus permanently as an example to any more would-be thugs on the team.

Frick them for tarnishing the name and the reputation of the Old War Skule.

I would hate to be him or the girl because they will not be welcome in this state anymore for causing such drama and bullshite over not being man enough to take a assbeating they deserve.

What did the other guys do to deserve a beating? I guess you can say the marine deserved it but what are the excuses for the others? The law is the law man. Get over it.

All of the information I presented is available to anyone to find. We have the account from the employees at Shady's in a story by the AP. The police have listed everyone they've talked to. They never mentioned talking to Liz(marine's ex). There's been no mention of any other players besides the 4 being interviewed by the police.(You know that would have been on the news) On top of that the police admit that all of the eyewitness accounts they got of the fight were from people linked to the alleged victims. Discrepancies in Lowery's story have been laid bare.

Unfortunately as police they have to pursue the charges.
Against Lowery? No? How many witnesses state he started a fight? Yet no charges?

Again unfortunately there was evidence to back it up
Indeed, and a ton of it by all accounts.
Yet no charges?
Gosh, that is some real fine policework.

But why stop there?
In fact the "scumbag," as you put it, is not only not pursued as a perp. He is actually declared by the just-doing-his-job BRPD Chief as a "victim."

Baring all the reasons that this came about. Who started what, what girl was involved, did the piece of sh*t have it coming. The fact remains they have a witness that saw them kick the scum. Coupled with some video and some shoes they feel they have enough to charge. They are not guilty yet.

That witness is a companion of Lowery's. She's biased.

Though I agree with you that they should have been charged, in the beginning when this all started JJ stated he wasn't even there. Charging Lowery would have put him there, negating the lie that he told Les and his father. JJ and a few others were not forth coming of the truth until later, days later. Half the problems they have is of there own doing.

The fact that one would have to ask that question in light of the impact on JJ/JJ's lives these charges bring speaks volumes. They may or may not be guilty of something, but unless the BRPD is done with its fact finding (and they aren't), filing charges is inexcusable, small time, punk-cop behavior.

All you have to go by for this comment is JJ's dad in the fricking Times Picayune.

First, was that statement made to the police?

Second, JJ's presence or absence from the scene has nothing to do with the "victim" starting the fight. Is starting a bar fight legal in Louisiana? Where are the charges?

No charges = indefensible position by the police. Period.

So cut the BS about the BRPD "just doing their jobs". They aren't!

and the blurred face of a girl(girlfriend maybe) saying he was in bed asleep. Went to the bar in his slippers to break it up.

Wonder if the slippers are the incriminating shoes.

Damn! That's the only way charges originate?
There's a hell of an interesting law.
Doesn't sound like it would work out well for BR murder victims though, seeing as they couldn't file a compliant.

yes, for charges to occur, usually there has to eb some complaint or victim to a crime.
