I love how predicting a win makes you a sunshine pumper according to people on this site.

Oh but they are just "realists".

Dammit, I'm serious!

Please point me in the direction of the establishment that will give me LSU +8.5!

I am ready to hand them my money.

look at it the other way.
all you see is lsu.

do you see al as a college w/ college kids?
do you see al qb throwing pi?
do you see al def missing coverage? (once.)
do you see al dl getting tired?
do you see chavis not devising a good d?

if you look at lsu w/ fear, take a moment and pretend you are an al turd and look w/ the same eyes of FEAR.

i'm gonna convert you yet. NEVER GIVE UP ON LSU. call me what you want, even use euphamisms if you wish, but i have learned in the many years i have been an LSU fan that they can beat anybody at any given time, esp in tiger stadium. if this team doesn't give up on themselves they have a 50/50 shot to win this game. sure bama looks unbeatable, but they are indeed beatable. we aren't familiar with their trials and tribulations like we are with our own and they really haven't had an opponent in our class yet. the put their pants on one leg at a time. this offense has some talent; if they can "get it in sync" they will surprise us.

Based upon what we have seen from this offense for some time now, Les' offensive game plan and philosophy, the failure of Les and Stud to make adjustments, and Bama's defense...I think it is highly realistic that we score 0 points.

I also think it is highly realistic that our defense will play exceptional but nevertheless will wear down over the course of the game due to the vast amount of time they will be on the field.

I don't know why anyone would find this unrealistic. I believe the ones that do are simply basing it on purple and gold homerism and I have to salute them for doing so.

However, I think the Tide is going to embarrass the Tigers, and by at least 3 touchdowns.

There is a better chance of a freight train being run on your wife, and from the way you talk, you'd probably just let it happen and watch.

It's clear you are not drinking the water here.

You I could have a beer with. And I too salute the homers, for I used to be one -- but that only caused much post-game shirt-tearing open, hair pulling and grinding/gnashing of teeth (particularly during the Hallman years)

I hate my post as much as they do; but I see Miles as a coach that does not have the capability to fully utilize the resources given to him.

More than halfway through the season, we have a pretty serious problem. It isn't just a little bit of execution.

Still, the team may show up ready to play next week and surprise us all. It's a week by week thing with these guys, and there isn't a game I would count them out of. There are some games I give them less of a chance in winning though unless they come ready to prove everyone wrong.

Yeah, what has Miles ever done aside from being the most successful coach in LSU history? But one day -- ONE DAY!! -- this house of cards will come crashing down. Just like you said it would, but only after the longest period of sustained excellence in LSU's history. But what does that matter?

How about trying to convince these people predicting doom and gloom that your way is the right way instead of bitching about it constantly?

I haven't given up on LSU. The defense will have to win the game though, not the offense. I have given up on the offense to win games.

Because if you're still predicting doom and gloom for Miles after seven years, you are immune to imperical evidence and its not worth the effort. If you want to be miserable, that's no skin off my nose. But you are missing out on LSU's Golden Age.
