Still doesn't change the fact that if Vanderhook doesn't prematurely pull his starter, OSU would be one game from elimination right now.

Ranters are coming out in full force saying LSU is lucky just to not be 0-2 because of the FSU blunder, but OSU was just as lucky to get to last night's game.

We don't beat CSF last night if they played just as terribly, but you need luck to win a NC. LSU used a lot of it Saturday and got none of it last night, combined with general poor play.

I just don't understand why when their pitcher is throwing the change up about 1/2 the time we weren't up there hunting the change up.

OSU has played 60 games...only lost 4. Their best pitcher didn't even go to Omaha. They have a few injuries as well. That team really hasn't even hit it's potential.
Sure it pains me to say this but I've learned in life what reality is. The Tigers got spanked soundly.
BUT IT AIN'T OVER FOLKS! Keep the faith. Many teams have lost game 2 and won it all.

Amazing how so many people feel they need to add these little statements at the end of their post like it's an insurance policy for voicing their opinion. Lol

This site is brutal. I completely understand.

I totally agree. It was the fact that they played their best game and we played our worst game. It's as simple as that. It didn't help that we lost our 8-1 pitcher and then walked 12 batters.

Baseball is a funny game. For instance, Arkansas trounced Florida in the SEC tournament like 16-2....but does anyone really think Arkansas was the beater team.

I'm not saying that Oregon State isn't a great team, but there isn't a doubt in my mind we could beat them on any given day. I also believe we could beat them in a 3 game series.

I also believe they could beat us in a 3 game series.

Here's hoping to beat FSU and get another shot at those guys. Whatever happens, we need to find our A game.

And our sissy fans need to stop overreacting. Go Tigers

Fullerton had to implode in order to give away a game they had won against that same team, with Fullerton facing a better pitcher.

OSU is beatable, but our hitters have to have confidence and a coherent plan at the plate, and our pitchers can't afford to give away free bases.

ETA: We also can't afford fielding and base-running mistakes if we are going to beat a team like that.

Hate to say it but UF looks damn solid right now. No one has even sniffed the scoreboard through 16 innings so far.

if we have the chance to play OSU again after FSU on Wednesday, I expect a much more competitive game.

me too. hell this game was competitive for 5 innings when gilbert ran out of gas. then, the walkathon began. this year our bull pen has had some major fricked up performances; last night topped them all. I have never need hunter newman so bad.

I like the way you're thinking!

I'm hoping Pouche gets the call against FSU and sets the record for most wins! After that I'm not optimistic but if the bats can find their groove anything can happen no matter who is pitching. Let it happen. Geaux Tigers!
