I actually thought the jersey looked cool but now seeing that picture the number looks stupid with the design inside it. Not as big a fan now.

Still interested in the helmet and what that will look like.

The Rice game would make sense. It's at home, it's the final home game of the 125th season, and it's senior night.

Hope so, though we usually wear purple for home non-conference games.

If we're not wearing them this weekend, then they're probably for the Rice game.

We're not going to wear any alternates against Bama, and I don't see us wearing any on the road either.

have never seen an instance where the fans and players where the same uni on the same game. The advertising is the game. Sales will follow.

Nike normally does these 1 off alternates when they’re testing new uniform templates and it usually will happen vs another brand school. So far, all have been at home vs Arkansas and State (Adidas) and Auburn (UA). The timing is odd for shipping because they’d normally do this against a bigger brand team at home (State) instead of possibly Rice and on road versus A&M. If there were an announcement, I’d assume it be today. The uniform has been in making for two seasons because the purple helmet was first noticed in O’s Tiger Bowl in 2016.
