right, because it isn't raining at the moment, it essentially barely rains in Florida this time a year

We don’t get much rain in spring. And if we do it’s nothing like what y’all get in Louisiana, bama and MS. The rainy season here doesn’t really get started until June.

On average, it rains 15.5 days in May in central Florida and 12.6 days in Birmingham

The point being, outside playing in a stadium with a roof, rain is going to be an issue regardless of where you play the SECT. Saying the tournament needs to be moved because of weather issues is just ignorant. There are plenty of reasons to advocate for the SECT to leave Birmingham, but the weather is not one of them

Eh idk about that stat. While I can’t speak for Birmingham, 15 days of rain in the month of May in Central FL seems very high. How many inches of rain I think would be a better one to go off. A quick 5/10 minute shower would be considered in that stat you provided. But agree to disagree on that. I do agree with you though that there are better reasons to have the tourney moved outside of weather.

Peep that radar in South Alabama. Storms inbound. No way Kentucky-Auburn goes tonight.

They got in with 12 wins last year.

Their RPI was considerably better last year. Entering the SECT, their RPI was 36. They went 2-2 and ended up at 33 on selection day and were one of the last 4 in. This year they're 48 in the RPI currently entering the SECT. They're not going to have a meteoric rise doing something similar (2-2 in the SECT)

Would that mean winner would have to play a doubleheader tomorrow against LSU?

If they have to play it tomorrow, it’s unlikely they can squeeze in the other three scheduled before LSU. So if they don’t play tonight then LSU probably doesn’t play until Thursday. But the weather here tomorrow is supposed to be worse than today.

Next round of rain due in around 4, so Florida-SC probably not starting right after this one. Probably two games behind by the end of the day.

You might not, but all the people that have been at the Met since 9 probably don’t want to stay until 2 AM, then come back at 9 tomorrow. Probably some OSHA rule about cooking hamburgers for more than 17 hours.
