Les Miles the Big Cat Drill brings back memories to be honest I would get fired up guys going one on one . Great motivation tool but not in this day and culture. Les would have ten players on IR before the season started .

My son just did the Allstar football camp last week here in BR, they ended each practice with the big cat drill. It was awesome.

Biggest fricking waste of practice time there was. Two players at a time going at it and the entire team just standing around. A concoction of Airhead Miles.

You realize these are 18-22 year old kids that would be going against grown men here that are 30+, right? I don’t care how talented they are or how much they work out. If you put us up against any player on the team and we would wreck them. We could form a team of people from this board alone that would win the CFB championship given that we are grown men.

I’ve been an advocate for a long time that every LSU football team should earn our fandom by having to beat us in a scrimmage each year.

What’s the difference in adrenaline from watching MMA, gladiators or Big Cat? It’s to fire people up.

Wrong on so many levels. Its pure competition, emphasized physicality, took 10 mins at the end of practice and built team comradery and a strong locker room. Every team in the country does something similar.

What a pussified gameboy coach thought. Never saw a BCD with players just standing around. They all in on it like a playground fight.
These young men have few opportunities to show their alpha dog and win their teammates respect. Big Cat is a mind game as much as a physical contest. Battle for supremacy
