Why is no one mentioning the Alamo Dome in San Antonio?

Floatation devices should be required if Superdoom is the choice. Mayor MOON will be out there with his bucket dumping water into clogged drain. Getting refund and NOT going to Superdoom. Tiger Stadium should be the only option.

San Antonio is the designated Federal and State disaster city. All of the first responders, FEMA, electric workers, are staged there ready to deploy.

Whether we play the game or not, the contract calls for LSU to get paid $4 million.

Not completely true. The contract states that ESPN has to make "reasonable efforts" to try and get the game played. However, if the game is cancelled due to weather and "reasonable efforts" are made to try and get it played and didn't work out, then ESPN does not have to pay the $4 million, and LSU/BYU get nothing.

Whoever said BYU and LSU to play on monday, won't happen. Because BYU has Utah (Holy War) on the 9th of Sept. not Boise State. The Holy War is a huge thing in Utah. It will be played Saturday somewhere. It won't be played Monday.

ESPN should use “reasonable efforts” to reschedule the game if it is canceled due to extreme weather, according to the game contract between the network and LSU. The network is contractually obligated to pay LSU $4 million for playing in the game. The payment is to be made within 30 days after the game, the contract says.

I just hope they decided to play in the Superdome, as there is going to be a lot of rain around that weekend, and I'd hate for the game to be called because of rain and lightening. That would really suck.

I know reading is hard; but this was literally the next sentence in the article...
quote:

The network and school are not liable, for any reason, if the game is canceled because of weather, the contract reads. BYU and LSU do not share an open date.

Who didn't know this? It's not an "almost certainty". It's a certainty and has been.
