Both previous hires under Alleva have been out of left field.
I can't believe the top candidate is on a list that's been made public.
It's someone no one is talking about. This hire will be random IMO.

Alleva forthcoming about Jones.
Alleva forthcoming about Amaker.
Alleva doesn't say what he was doing in ATL.
Pitt writers start looking for Dixon.
He's at a hockey game.
He's talking to his AD alot.
Alleva talks late tonight.

Agree that this is a possibility. Like I posted earlier, Alleva has made some surprisingly strong hires no one saw coming, and I include Trent in this group because, at the time, he was an impressive hire.

This whole process has been ridiculous. The lack of reliable info even after we thought we had confirmations is mind boggling.

We know Alleva went to Atlanta, if not Dixon was someone we haven't heard of. I think him leaking Jones name is the kiss of death for Jones. Pastner could still be in play as well

Could be reaching here but a PItt report hinted that anytime they have asked Dixon about a job he always refuses to comment.
