OK - track him down and ask him to give you every single detail about what went on in negotiations. I'll wait.

What more do you want? If ehe game is going to be on Thanksgiving, at least our players won't be on a short week. I thought it was a good move.

I bet you thought he could just wave a wand and make the game a Saturday night game in Death Valley.

Why do they have to give something up? We got something we wanted, a bye week before the game, so it doesn't screw up our schedule. Also, we won't be playing on thanksgiving in Tiger Stadium next year.

So A&M gets precisely what it wants, and we ask to at least have a bye week before, and that's seen as an equal trade? No. What would have been equal is that A&M could have gotten their Thanksgiving game, and we could have gotten our Saturday game.

The only hold up there is TV, which is why I keep harping on it. If CBS is still the big dog and shapes the schedule in terms of dates and times, why are they OK with losing that game on Friday in odd years and holding onto it in even? And you're right, only those in the negotiations know...but given the obvious questions it presents, it might not be a bad idea for someone a LSU to address them directly.

While I can't promise all LSU fans will accept honest, logical answers, I will.

We get a buy week before Alabama and A&M, what should be our 2 biggest West opponents. That's pretty big.

Yeah for that year only. 2 bye weeks only happens about 2 of every 8 years. So for the others, we get screwed. This is more than about just that year.

I'd love to know the SEC's motivation and how they were able to get CBS on board with it, but I don't. Until Alleva, someone with A&M, someone with SEC, or someone with the SEC reveals said information, this is all speculation.

It's pretty clear that we don't know what went on, but that the SEC and aTm were both motivated to move the game to Thanksgiving, and Alleva had to do what he could to benefit LSU in any way, despite the fact that it was going toget moved.

It's not just aTm bullying the SEC and the LSU.

Well I'll wait to those schedules come out before I start bitching, but for now the 2014 schedule sets up nicely for the team.

Here's how I see it.

The SCEnetwork is starting up. They want a game on Thanksgiving.

A&M wants to play on thanksgiving.

CBS apparently never had the pull that we've been lead to believe because the SEC basically told them to get fricked on this game.

A&M is the new golden boy of the SEC. SEC could give two fricks about LSU.

I mean it is pretty clear. We now will play A&M the last game instead of Arky. 2016 we only get one bye, you tell me where to put it.

Apparently, Alleva OWES season ticket holders nothing...

Home game with TCU, great game... wait a minute, we're moving to Dallas.

Home and home with Wisconsin, sweet... hold it there, we're taking our home game to Houston.

Don't worry Tiger fans, we've got Sam Houston St on the home schedule for you. Seat license fee increase anyone?

so we lose out on a thursday game in November when the weather is usually incredible. Perfect

What in the hell are you talking about? We normally play a Thursday game?

Each to our own, but I don't know why any LSU fan would want a regular season Thursday game ever.

Make it a Thanksgiving game and I see even less a reason to want it.

We really want to go head to head nationally with the likes of NFL teams Pitt and Balt?

Bottom line, I think LSU fans are a tad tired of coming in 2nd, whether that's reality or not, in this scheduling stuff.

I think the final nail that has really pissed a lot off was when Bama got Ga taken off their schedule and placed on ours.

I'm not one to bitch bout things I can't control too much, but I'm pretty damn tired of bending over and having stuff shoved in.

I can't wait to see how beautiful the new South Endzone Upper Deck looks. I know that I will get a good view of it without all of those pesky fans sitting on them and clogging up the beautiful bleacher seats when we host Miss Valley St in November of 2016.

CBS can choose this game as their once a year night game if they choose, just like they can choose any other SEC game to air once a year at night. Doesn't matter that its Thursday or not.

Now they won't do that but that's just the fact. They could if they wanted to do so.

Just like they can choose to move the game vs A&M to Friday or the egg bowl to Friday or the Arky Mizzouri game to Friday, which the piglets think is what's gonna happen

So in reality many of our fans just have no understanding of how contracts and inner workings of a conference of team members works

FWIW, the Aggies want the game on thanksgiving home and away but alleva didn't get anything out of this

Most of our fans think that every game on our schedule should be Saturday night in TS (preferably against a top 10 team or an NFL team). Even the away games.
