Grown ups treating young men this way should be ashamed. The average brain is not fully developed until 24 years old. This is part pf what makes college athletics such good. You never know on any given day. These young men have not given up. Some areas of the team need attention. Down vote away and Geaux Tigers!

There’s a reason for that little number. It’s because our team played a better overall season than the teams with a higher number by their name.
We have flaws for sure, but it’s fairly obvious we are one of the best 8, arguably one of the best 5 teams in the nation. By no means does that necessarily mean we’ll be one of the last 8 teams standing, but with an entire regular season of data behind us it’s clear LSU is one of the top teams in the country.

09 team had pitching.
So what caused them to lose 16 regular season games?

That’s where I sit JP81, people think we have the best Baseball team overall—-maybe?!?, but we have one OF the best teams in the Tournament and are in the Top 8 Nationally,
PLAY BALL! Batter Up!

And the little number by LSU probably reflects something about the limitations all the teams have this season, not just LSU.

We all wish we were a baseball savant, such as yourself. May we bow at your incredible understanding of NCAA baseball and praise your presence, for we are not worthy...
If only the numbers meant something, maybe something like placement according to wins and losses, factoring in things like SoS, and series wins. They should look into doing that.

This was for a possible SEC Championship and LSU looked liked they could care less.
Well I’m proud of them for caring, since like you said, they could care less.
Maybe you thought they couldn’t care less. If that’s the case, I’m pissed!

The past 3 weeks have been the worst 3 weeks that this team has played all year. That’s just a fact.
Auburn is on an 8-game conference winning streak and won their last 5 conference series. A road series loss against a hot team who finished 5th in the conference wasn’t the disaster everyone is making it out to be. It wasn’t materially different from going 1-1 at 6th place SC needing a late game grand slam to avoid being swept.
Winning the road series at Georgia was not a bad result and not particularly different from taking 2 of 3 at A&M. LSU went 9-5 on the road. Florida was the only other conference team to finish above .500 on the road at 8-7. Georgia swept Arkansas and won home series against Tennessee and Kentucky.
So, really, all that leaves is the bad weekend against Miss St. There’s no way to sugar coat that one. It was a terrible result to lose to the 13th place team at home, but it was one weekend and really one game that Johnson took for granted and thought he could use to try to get his bullpen right for postseason. If he doesn’t put Little in and leave him in for 4 runs, LSU wins that game, they win the conference and they are #1 or #2. Suddenly everyone’s outlook and perception is dramatically different.

Defensive liabilities, key players in slumps, not enough bullpen arms to rely on to throw strikes much less get outs,
mental mistakes.....I mean we do kinda suck lately
