79 Tangerine Bowl. We got almost a full week in Orlando and free time in Walt Disney World, including getting to March in the Disney parade through the Magic Kingdom. Beat Wake Forest 34-10.

80 or 81 SEC Basketball Tourney (BB Band)in Birmingham was a good trip with the Snow and all. Scales, Macklin and the bunch.....

LSU at Ole Miss in 2003. It was a tremendous game, LSU winning 17-14. And I may get blasted by this comment, but I love going to the Grove. Great food and atosphere there.

That was a great one - really cold! Was talking with a ND fan before the game - he asked if I thought the Tigers had any chance against the Irish. I told him yes - then he said, "well we have this reciever named Gatewood, and you've never seen anyone like him". I replied, "well we have this defensive back named Casanova, and Gatewood has never seen anyone like him".

Casanova stayed on Gatewood all game, believe he only caught a single insignificant pass.

So far, 2008 CWS followed closely by 2008 SEC Baseball Tourney.

01 SEC Championship & 02 Florida

The 01 SECCG was a huge leap forward for our program, and the 02 blowout of UF was a real sign that the landscape was changing in a major way in the SEC now that Spurrier was gone.

My first trip to ATL and Gainesville were both a lot of fun with LSU getting big wins.

I would guess the 01 SEC Championship - we met some crazy people out there and had a BLAST! They were LSU fans who moved to Atlanta- they had more liquor than any tailgate I've ever seen. We were walking around bummed because we ran out of alcohol and these middle aged people were partying and invited us to come drink with them. They were doing shots, mixing drinks, making us do shots. It was 2 couples and their kids- then grandma popped out the Suburban right before the game holding a mostly empty bottle of wine and a little stumbly. They were so generous - they gave us liquor to take into the game. They were cuttin' up all afternoon like college kids while their own kids just ran wild by the rail road trax. We had a blast.

Until 1965 there was a special train run from BR to Houston for the Rice game. Amazing how drunk so many people could get in 3 hours. Oh and the round trip ticket cost $10.00. Sweet deal.
