I am cautiously optimistic. Wouldn't be shocked at all to see BH put it all together this season and really shine.

Ben Coleman I think you're the retarded one here. Ever heard of QBR? Harris had a better qbr than mettenberger

What about accuracy and reading defenses? Don't get me wrong, I want him to be great. But I don't see the signs you speak of, yet. I have hopes for him. He is a likable guy and I want him to be great.

Even with Mett we didn't have a balanced passing offense. We didn't throw to the backs, and TEs We had a pro back up QB with a Cannon who would throw deep posts and curls to 2 NFL pro bowl receivers and they just caught everything in their vicinity.

That 13 offense had nothing to do with coaching,or a balanced passing attack. It was just 3 talented players making plays.

What we want to see is improved QB play yes, but also improved offensive game planning, balanced passing attack in the gameplan, beside fly routes off play action.

It's all pretty simple but all you jabronies can't recognize the obvious.

Harris couldn't throw a slant or a quick out last year if his life depended on it. When he did complete his screens accurately they went for big gains but those were few and far between.

He literally has to fix those things and he'll take off. Everyone rooting for and against the program knows how talented we are everywhere else.

As far as the Mettenberger comparison, I think Harris would have had even better stats last year if he had Beckham and Landry to throw to last year.

I find it bizarre that people on here don't believe Harris can be significantly better. He was a 1st year starter last year as a soph and the OP was right his stats as a 2nd year soph rival Mett's as a 4th yr junior so that offers some hope.

I'm pretty sure you all crapped your pants when you were young and as you developed you don't crap your pants any more or am I being too optimistic?

I think that this should be your No. 1 positive. A lot of Harris problems could be improved with experience, notably timing and accuracy.

I recall he completed 4 or 5 consecutive before Arky shut the route down.

How about the coaching staff get him "good" first then they can worry about "great" down the road!
