The best case scenario, I think, would be for Miles to hire a top-flight OC and let him do his job

This *1000 Miles does a great job recruiting, recruits kids with character, runs a clean program. If he hires the OC job as well as he nailed the DC job. LSU will be set. Most people will not admit to that.

Yes, this is the correct answer.

uh huh.............since when does Miles call the plays?

All I'm saying, we can do better than 113th in the nation. I don't care who calls the plays...but I guarantee Miles has his fingers in it, no doubt about that.

If Crowton was left up to himself he'd fling it 35-40 times a game and run everything off draws and sweeps.

+1

People will continually start random accusations on here in hope that it will lead to something "constructive", but I think the regular posters know how to weed out the good from the bad.. I think

I will admit this *1000

He is a "CEO" coach and if he would get a guy like Chavis as an OC i think he would be in a great position as LSU HC. CLM takes his punches, but other than our offense, i really like the direction of the program. If he gets a Homerun OC hire(hopefully when GC is fired, retired, or another job) LSU with the incoming recruiting class will be a program to be reckoned with.

I think he'd take Lee and just wing it. Jefferson is a more Miles decision than Crowton...how many times did Matt Flynn take off and run in 2007 or even Perillioux (sp) in that one game he had?

Les needs a backup QB. If Lee goes in and gets hurt or throws a pick6 and looses his mind set, he then only has one QB. I don't like the situation, but I understand it.

Belowpar, next year with the same OC, QB's and scheme would be year 4 of being just awful offensively.

Please tell me that Miles is serious about getting LSU to where LSU deserves? Meaning he will change and do whatever!!!!!!! Top 5 recruiting classes do not equal 115th in the nation offensively 2 years in a row.. Something is broke..it's starts with the OC and QB..

Being 7-1 frankly is an illusion...we aren't a 7-1 team with this offense which is currently ranked 100th in the nation.

I like Miles, but I dislike his stubborness. He is suppose to be an offensive minded coach...we the fans just arn't seeing it the last 3 years

Miles #1 priority is to do everything he can to win football games.

If this is true, why is Jefferson still starting and why did our defensive scheme change drastically against Auburn from what had been working all year? Chavis suddenly decided to no longer be aggressive and Miles failed to override him?

If this is true, why wasn't game/play clock management addressed years ago? Game clock mgmt after the Auburn 07 game and Play clock mgmt after numerous wasted TOs and/or delay of games penalties became a problem two seasons ago?

Uh huh...when did Miles start calling plays

At some point prior to the point when Jimbo Fisher was audibly heared screaming to that effect in the television broadcast of the Arkansas game of Fisher's last year.
