I am not saying that Kelly is Saban, nor am I saying that ulm is Florida state. I am saying that things are going to happen. This is the teams first year with a lot of new parts. Have patience and allow things to develop.

Shhh stop it you’re making to much sense. Kelly should go undefeated

I imagine the fan base wanted him fired then. Things take time to develop.

There definitely seems to be a lack of logic lately.

These kind of losses—not that you’d prefer them by any means—can allow for the best week of teaching, learning, and growth. Had we escaped with a miracle win, it might not have grabbed the young players’ attention in the same way this kind of heartbreaking loss should (and I think will).

Saban lost to 7-5 Florida St his first year at Bama too. I really hope I don't have to make Boutte comparisons to DJ Hall this year but that first game wasn't a good start in that regard

Let’s make a comparison to saban once Kelly finally wins a conference title let alone a national championship like Saban had already done when he went to AL.

That was my freshman year at LSU. There were a LOT of people leaving that stadium calling for his head and they wanted Booty outta there as well.

EVERYTHING changed after the next game against Tennessee.

We had 39 scholarship players for the ball game… And a wide receiver, playing quarterback. That’s a pretty far place to come back from.

Which loss was worse, the ulm loss or the Florida state one?

Saban lost to uab at lsu in 2000. Based on the rants reactions, he should have been ram out of town then.

How bout this for perspective:

There were THOUSANDS of Bama fans who wanted Saban to retire after losing to LSU and Auburn in 2019.

I think people need to chill. Kelly is the winningest coach in Notre Dame’s history. That is a looong and storied history. Be patient.

If I may, there is a lot in common with 2007 Bama and 2022 LSU. Saban had some thugs on that team and no one to take their place if he ran them off during the season.
I know I was disappointed in the season but I also didn’t know what was going on with the team.
Have faith in your coaches and know LSU will come thru these hard times and one day soon win another NC.

Thank you for that, I really appreciate you offering some perspective.

You think that’s bad, I heard Saban lost a few games when he was playing defensive back for Kent State. Don’t think that matters? You’re right. It’s as silly as your post which is not at all relevant to what is transpiring with the LSU football team in 2022. We really need a new board for “Tiger Nostalgia.”
