loved AJ and followed him as a Dolphin also. Great Tiger. Tough and smart LB.

What year was this? I remember this (even though I was REALLY young). I became an AJ Duhe fan after that! He dominated that game as I recall.

1982 I believe.

Where is she from originally? There are lots of Duhe's from Lutcher down through St. Charles Parish.

Does anyone remember him

How could we not remember one of the greats at LSU. I remember sitting in the endzone for a game against Rice and we won 73 to 0 or something like that. But i remember him having a great game. Not to mention he had a pretty darn good pro career with the dolphins.

I remember a Russell Domingue that played with Duhe, he was a monster and blocked a field goal against Nebraska in Tiger stadium to secure a 3 to 3 tie

I remember AJ. He was a year or two ahead of me. Great quickness - great player.

I remember Domingue and the Nebraska game as well. Domingue knifed a guy in the wee hours after the game.

I'm pretty sure my uncle played at LSU with him. I want to say I've heard stories about him and my uncle from those days. My uncle was one of FIVE guys from Tara to sign with LSU all in the same year!

The AJ Duhe you're talking about, is he related to the Gary Duhe who played baseball at St. Amant??

Don't believe AJ ever played in the Orange Bowl against the Cornhuskers. You must be talking about the regular season game in '76 (I think) against the Huskers...

The Orange Bowl against Nebraska was in '82. AJ was long gone by then.

Correct. A.J. was helping the Dolphins get to the Super Bowl by then I believe. Those two late 70's games against Nebraska were both classics. A tough road loss and then a tie at home against the #1 ranked Huskers. Missed a late field goal that would have won that game as I recall. A.J. would have played in the first game for sure. Not certain about the second.

That is was. Ferragamo was the Nebraska QB and the Tigers sacked him several times that night.

You may be right, but I thought he played at Lutcher.
