This was likely about policy of travel of visiting band to LSU. Not about the Aggie band.
The policy was reverted within a week or so when it was first issued. Bad look at the top. Go figure.

They added a new field access for the visiting bands to make it easier to get on and off the field.
My issue with the Aggie band was the 1st time they came when they joined the sec it was a rain game and their drill type march destroyed the field. All they do is march back and forth while playing the same songs. I’ve seen high school bands do it just as good.
My two cents.

Clarification: I’ve seen high school bands do the basic drill routine just as good. The Aggies obviously have more complex maneuvers bc they are a college band but again I’m not impressed with the drill routine.

They are an awesome marching band. Bet they do good in parades.
Got to remember one thing about aggots, their football team has been bad to mediocre for so long, they have to cheer for something, and their band is their shining moment during football season.

West Monroe high school band did the same routine as I saw in tiger stadium. Aggies might’ve done a few more complex maneuvers but the base stuff is all the same. Not a big fan of drill type bands either. Not running my mouth, Like I said just my two cents.

My favorite college band. Aggies have pretty cool fight song too. I prolly picked a bad week to make these comments.

They are very good at what they do. That being said, aggie pride of their marching band is often disproportionate to how much people value marching bands and it makes them seem more weird.

As Id expect them too bc they are a college band vs a high school band. They have more members that are more skilled. I guess I should clarify since all the drill band purists have come out: I’ve seen high school bands do the basic drill routine just as good.
I’m just not impressed with the drill performance that plays the same songs every week. I don’t get the obsession with it but again, that’s just my opinion.

Aggie band is awesome. Love there fight song. BTW they are so much better than our band.
