Pitching isn’t the issue this weekend

In Hurd’s case, I put a lot of blame on whoever is calling pitches. Scoreless game with his regular mix, then they act afraid to throw the fastball. It’s not like they were hitting his fastball hard, but with Cags and after it was a steady diet of breaking balls. Broke up the rhythm that he had.

Anderson isn’t there yet as a reliever and we keep bringing him in in key situations. Our deep bullpen was touted as a strength and either it’s not or we’re using it poorly

It feels like Jay has to many decently talented guys that he’s overthinking nearly every decision.

Honestly i believe the pitching is magnified too much because we cant get enough runs. Our pitching is good enough to win but not when you score 2/3 runs a game. However the mark of a good team is when you can win that 2-1/3-2 game and not drop 3rd strikes allowing the batter to get on and walk lead off batters that score. In the end, i think if lsu can score 6/7 runs in most games, the pitching would be more confident. We dont have that.
