I did my fair share of fussing after the hire and the last two games. I have decided that I will give coach o till the end of the year before I judge this season. I'm not expecting a 10 win season this year. I think most rational fans didn't. What I expect is a team that plays hard every weekend and that DOES NOT play down to talent. For me, this season isn't about wins. I would like to see the team play evey game close and hard. Although it's not about wins, we should win 9 games. Are we flawed? Yes. So is the majority of teams we play this year.

In an ideal situation it's definitely about wins. This team is so sucky on the line I just want progress and hard play.

My issue is I'm having trouble being cautiously optimistic. It's like the whole offseason and camp didn't happen.

I wish LSU had played up to Mississippi State's talent.

Well next season he would of had a chance to get depth on the o line. I would expect better play up front. Might have some growing pains in the backfield, but I'd expect an exciting team that makes a few mistakes.

Same here. If coach o had a track record of turning teams around I'd feel different. However, I'll decide my panic level after this season.

Me too. I'm only allowing myself to be irrationally exuberant with the Saints right now.

This team is not the same team that les has had to work with. The talent on this team isn't close and that's les fault. I don't blame o for that.

Orgeron has a history of taking talented teams to losing records.

ok...

A better evaluation would be based on progress throughout the year and a reasonable consideration of whether or not the team is heading in the right direction at a fast enough pace.

There are big issues at play. I'd take a team that plays down to its competition if it was also able to play above itself when needed against better teams. I'd take a team that played poorly at times if, by the end of the season, the young talent we have is starting to carry the load and look like some of our best players (D. White is a great example from last year). I'd accept poor execution on offense during part of the year if I see enough out of Brennan to have confidence that he's going to be a positive on this team at QB (we haven't had this in a while at LSU)

Keep your eye on the ball. Focus on what's important. Don't draw some imaginary line in the sand and ignore what is really important.

This is the lowering of expectations.

Even though a lot of them left after Orgeron took over? He deserves no blame at all?

If this was going to happen anyway it makes the Orgeron hire even more baffling.

At this point I am okay with coach O. I feel the problems we are having is 1. youth,2. Jeff Grimes, and 3. Matt Canada. This motion bullshite is just bullshite. I can hear Saban now telling his player"okay guys stay in your zone don't fall for all the bullshite motions and wait for the play to come to you". This offense is not going to allow our running backs to break long runs as well.
