Worst sports writing in the country - with the loss of Dellinger to SI we are left with Rabalais’s folksy Sam King impersonation, light reporting from Mickles and wait and see attitude on Kubena.

Now they’re all on the LSU and Coach O bandwagon and picking LSU to win at Florida. Is this the kiss of death?

PS does anyone else throw up in their mouth trying to read an article from Rabalais?

He and Moscona felt so smug about their 7-5 predictions before the year... scoffing at anyone who could possibly think LSU would touch 9-3. But that doesn't stop from from their continued narcissism going on week after week talking down to their audience as if their position gives them some anointed insight into LSU athletics.

People bitch and bitch and bitch that the fans and local media aren't behind the coaching staff and it costs LSU recruits and makes it harder for the coach to do his job. Now, it's a bad thing to get behind the coaching staff?

These are the actual "fans" that are never happy

There is no good writing in so-called journalism or anywhere else for that matter. I liked Dellinger, but cannot blame him for going to ESPN. The truth is that media is all owned by a very small group. Very small.

He went to Sports Illustrated.

It's gets difficult to keep up with what people want. Do we want support or not?

That's not what anyone is saying.

I start getting nervous when people jump on the bandwagon mid season.

Are people really that fragile to think that LSU will win/lose games based on what somebody writes in a newspaper or says on the radio?

Now? All? Kubena, who picked LSU to win at Auburn by the score of 23-21, has been pretty consistent.

Not me. I don't always agree with Rabalais, but, unlike most anonymous rantards on this site, he doesn't seem to throw words onto a computer screen without first putting thought into what he is writing.

I guess the thinking is that if everyone jumps on board that the team will lose it's edge and no longer have a chip on it's shoulder.

In the context you originally put it, no. The OP is an idiot if he thinks the perception of a few media members affects wins and losses. My point is that calling out people for being wrong doesn't mean you don't think they should support LSU in whatever reasonable way they can.

Florida- Mullen kicked their arse last year. Playing in the swamp AGAIN.

Mississippi St- kicked our arse last year. Badly.

UGA- possible top 5 match up in Tiger Stadium.

Bama- nothing else needs to be said.

aTm, Rice, Arkansas- if LSU takes care of business in the previous games, then they will be playing for A LOT in these three games.

Losing any type of chip on their shoulder with what's left would be on them and the coaching staff.

Is it possible that we are better and should be picked to win?

Lets skip common sense that the #5 ranked team should beat the #22 team without even digging deeper into match-ups, roster talent and depth. maybe we are just the better team. Doesn't mean we WILL win, but does mean we SHOULD win.

You're preaching to the choir, bro. All of this talk if outside influences being the cause of any negative outcome of this or any team is complete nonsense to me.

Well that'd be one hell of a trick if O can pull that off. You're using the same motivation for two weeks in a row. That's why using extrinsic motivation is tricky.

How about "lets go out there and dominate because that's what we expect of ourselves, not because no one out there thinks we can do it."

They can always control what they expect of themselves.
