Our seats were in the bottom section where the team comes out. The fog started to come in from the south end zone in the second half, rolling in like in a movie. By the end of the game, it had settled over the field about half way up the bowl. It felt like you were in this huge room with a ceiling. It was strange to see oranges fall out of the cloud. The LSU players had to run fast to the locker room or risk being hit. We wanted to stay around and celebrate but we were being pelleted by oranges coming in from high up....they carried a wallop. It was said that you could not find an orange in any store in the area for days before the game.

we were so hungry for a winner, that's what made it crazy.

I believe we are hungry again.
Very.

Also, forgot about the awesome fog cloud that rolled into the stadium around end of 3rd Qtr. That's why picture is so grainy. looked like the hand of death green mist in the Ten Commandments movie. Was awesome and added to the uniqueness of that night. We had oranges with vodka injected inside them so we were sucking them dry before throwing them.

Our fanbase has declined so dramatically over the last decade; a bunch of effete, indifferent sloths who can't be troubled to stand or stay until the end of games.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm afraid there is some truth to this. Certainly still some great fans there but things have changed, especially with regard to the games against "lesser" opponents.

Another magical night in the greatest stadium on earth.

Easily in the top five greatest nights there. Probably more like top three.

So is that what it seemed like from the north end zone? Because from the south end zone it sure looked like it was coming in over the north. I guess the truth is that it came over both ends at the same time.

I never imagined this but that video has gone from 400+ views when I created this thread 26 hours ago to 3700+ now.

NOT that I really give a shite about that. Truly posted it for the fans here to see. That increase was totally unexpected and I can't really understand how it has jumped so much. Must be a ton of lurkers watching it too. Pretty damn cool.

Honestly, if you take away the 2007 Florida game, nothing has come even close to what we saw back in 80's and 90's.

This is just not true.... TN 2000 was insanity ... Auburn01 was LIT

We were in the south end zone, top row near the score board. Sure looked like it came in from the north. At one point we couldn't see anything past the 50 yard line.

Speaking of Mike's pregame skits. Before one of the Ole Miss games, a hearse rolled on to the field. They pulled a coffin out and placed it on the field. Mike popped out of the coffin and the crowd went nuts.

Some of those impromptu things were the best....like rappelling from the ceiling of the PMAC.

Yeah that was a good one. Had forgotten about that.
