Please post less?
I assume you are talking of defending our tradition of not walking on the grass surrounding the MSC or our tradition of not wearing your hat in the MSC.
From the Aggie Traditions webpage:
"The MSC is a living memorial, so please help us to respect those fallen Aggies by removing your hats when you step inside the building and by not walking on the grass surrounding the facility."
It would be nice if our visitors would be respectful, but if they choose not to after being politely asked to either remove their hat or not walk on the grass, please don't retaliate by being a dick. That is not the right way to defend what is a living memorial, you only make yourself look bad and then it makes the rest of us look bad. Just politely ask that they stop and if they don't, move on.

The best response to idiocy is no response. I think A&M is a fine school.

Born in baron rouge and lived I new Orleans for 32 years. Spent the last 20 in college station. I spend a lot of time defending my home state and Louisiana people. Reality TV is not helping the reputation of Louisana by the way. I defend you guys and then I come here and see the stupid, uneducated, rude shite you write and I can honestly say you are embarrassing your state and your school. Think before you post. It is not that hard to be nice.
One thing you will find is aggies are the nicest people you will ever meet. I realize to many of you that is considered odd but I consider it a breath of fresh air. Grow up.
So your admitting your a traitor? I bet your A&M friends don't even respect you for not rooting for your hometown team. I know I wouldn't if an A&M fan who grew up his whole life in College Station and moved to BR changed his allegiances to the Tigers. Nice Try though Benedict Arnold.

I wont repeat what my friends say about lsu fans>>> not nearly as complimentary as your assessment of us.
Now this is comedy. Over the past 13 years I have lived and worked in Houston, NOLA, Mississippi, GA and Austin, with about half that time being in Texas. I was not always an LSU fanatic.
But during that time, it became unmistakably clear that folks close to A&M found them to be freaks and the place to be a cult (probably because it is a cult). It is not even close the amount of mocking and head shaking Aggies generate from their peer schools vs LSU and their equivalent. Not the same ballgame.
Surely as Aggies, you guys are aware of this?

I've worked in a pretty military environment my entire career, which means I've worked with many, many, Aggies, mostly all form the corps. As far as professionalism, these guys are super, and usually pretty good dudes, but when we start talking about old college experiences, and there's a few of them around, they really have some weird fricking stories. And not weird from a standpoint of, "we got drunk one night and...," their traditions and what goes on down there in the corps seems a little bizarre, hell a lot bizarre, but they're good guys. My experiences going to a game there are totally different, however. They can be as rude and obnoxious as any Gator ever thought of being, and they don't even have to be drinking. I do notice this behavior more when they are in big groups. They're not that ballsy when there's only one or two of them. Just my observation. Hope we kick the living shite out of them.

Bigboee80 I have the mental capacity to pull for two teams at once. It has never been an issue until this week. I hope both play great and the best team wins. It is really not that hard. I also hope my LA friends come, have a great time and do your best to debunk the well deserved reputation of drunk LSU fans. If all other fan bases can do it,I have faith you can as well.

I have the mental capacity to pull for two teams at once, the Saints and LSU. I don't get why we would want to debunk our "well deserved reputation" it took us so many drinks to earn it.

That's pretty ghey. Anyone know how to dredge up the clip where one of the Aggie Corps guys pulls a sword out after a game(ala Neidemier in Animal House) and gets taken out by a cheerleader?

Here's another great video that shows the lack of respect paid to Texas A&M by in-state schools. During the incident, in a move that would only make sense to an Aggie, an A&M student punched Rick Perry's chief of staff/Aggie alum in the face. Moron.
Texas Tech Battering Ram
The Aggies are proud to say that "outsiders can't understand the Aggie culture". So why would anyone be drawn to something they can't understand? The simple answer is that these are life's lost souls, misfits, and losers who don't fit in anywhere else.
And the whole "12th Man" tradition? Stolen from Iowa who used it years earlier than A&M.
