LSU has the highest paid coaching staff.
LSU has the most NFL players.
LSU has highly ranked recruiting classes.

How about the results of LSU ranking over the past 3 years?

we've finished at least in the top 40 each of the past 3 years. That better than 75% of all of college football teams can say. That puts us in an elite group of programs and to deny otherwise can take your arse right on the hell on out of here jackass

If we win our bowl game, which isn't a sure things anymore, we have a very good chance at finishing top 15 with what would have been a 10 win season had the McNeese game not been canceled. that would mean lsu has finished in the top 15 5 of the last 6 years. I'm pretty sure that's an accomplishment only Oregon,Bama, and LSU have accomplished.

They have all of those because of miles you fkn idiot. Seriously...some of you act like LSU has so much more talent than other teams. Its pretty damn close with key missing ingredient being the qb.

You know in 2013 LSU lost 3 games with a great offense...but they lost on the road to a high powered Georgia offense and at Alabama. Those aren't routine wins even for a good team. Now they should never lost to ole mmiss, mett just had a terrible day when they didn't really need to pass. Could have easily beat ga. Last two years qb sucked

Twill a nice victory and teams in front of us losing would almost guarantee us to move up X amount of spots. I will check and run the numbers and get back to you
11 TCU over 15 Oregon
12 Ole Miss over 16 Oklahoma State
10 North Carolina over 17 Baylor
9 Florida State over 18 Houston
14 Michigan over 19 Florida
That should put us at 15 with a good win

If you think I was just complaining with this thread that's fine. That's not what I was trying to do, though. I read a lot of posts saying there was a "good chance" we finish in the top 15 with a win, and I didn't think that was necessarily true. I admit this thread was ill-advised and I should have just let it go, but I at least had a point-or so I thought.

I brought up Choctaw because rickydaddy didn't understand why he got hated on for defending Miles. I was simply saying that that's not what he was doing at all, but instead attacking my post, with no mention of LSU. It was just a drive-by "this thread sucks" with no substance.

So not including other financial resources such as facilities, recruiting budget, etc. Alabama pays its coaching staff $2,500,000.00 more than LSU does.

Pending the result of the bowl game, we'll be 2nd in the conference in wins over that time. (UGA currently has a 1/2 game lead).

So.... tell me what we should be doing that we're not.

Serious question.....How come Miles can't lead his team to where Bama is????? And I DON'T care what any other school has done... I want YOU to tell me why LSU is not where Bama is every year... Yes they have Saban, But still why can't we be there??? Break it down or me ohhhh masterful one........

The sad truth is that Alabama (1) pays its coaches more than any program in the country, (2) recruits better than any other program in the country, (3) puts more players into the NFL than any other program in the country, (4) has won the division 5 of the last 8 years, with the only exceptions being the Cam-Back, the Kick Six, and the best team that LSU has fielded in my lifetime, and (5) has been in contention for a NC in the postseason 5 of the last 7 years.

I'm sure this post will be littered with downvotes and I'll get labelled a positiger "settling for mediocrity," but the truth of it is that I am not at all positive at the direction of the program in the current landscape of CFB, but can accept the REALITY for what it is. This is Nick Saban's world and the rest of us are just living in it. I used to believe that Saban and Miles were two titans going at it and Miles had just gotten some bad luck, but after 5 in a row, I no longer believe that to be the case.

Honestly Peej, LSU is not where Bama is every year because LSU is not Bama and that's all there is to it. When they have the right coach, they are willing to invest into their football program in ways that LSU is not.

Ok. But WHY isn't LSU #2 every year???? Why CAN'T LES recruit as good as Saban??? Why can't Miles develop A QB like Saban??? Why is Bama a top 5 team While LSU is not??? Why has Saban come up with the correct game plan to Beat Miles the last five games???? And don't give me any crap about players leaving early...LSU'S players can't leave any earliar than Bama's players.....

15, 17, 20 .... none of it matters. When we start to care about whether we end up 15th instead of 20th is the day we've jumped the shark. And we're apparently there.

Ehh the polls can be shite. There aren't 15 teams better than LSU.

So look at bowl games. You need 6 wins rt? Not so good. Find me another team other than say va tech that has as many consecutive bowl appearances. That means evey single team out there has had more than six losses more recent than LSU. So how the frick is LSU mediocre or in some sort of decline?

Basically you'd rather LSU just suck because finishing ahead of 90% of college football is stale? What's wrong with you?

So hire saban? No other coach is recruiting at the same clip. No matter who you hire, you'll finish second to him.

And I think most of us didn't want to shell out 30 million to hopefully equal Les results. And if you are honest with yourself, that's all you can do is hope.

I also have zero faith in Alleva to find a better replacement. So forgive me and other so called posis that wanted to keep the coach that has proven, not once, but twice he can get a team to the title.

Instead of blowing it up and risking theses last 2 classes and 16 on an unknown.

I have asked this question forever on here, But I have yet to get an answer on who could come in and do better not named Saban ,Meyer, or Harbaugh... Miles is here and that's fine with me... But I still don't get WHY he can'the be as good as Bama year in and year out... Hell with the top 15... I want top 10's.............
