Ok Mr Purple Baylor,

does not even make sense

I don't get what your obsession is A&M but it's just sad

I live in Texas now, I am a big LSU/TCU fan, and LSU plays TAMU sat. Seems pretty simple to me.

quote:

The last game with A&M and TCU was also 11 years ago, not 17

I clearly stated that the regular season rivalry ended 17 yrs ago. Reading comprehension is important. I am fully aware of the bowl game (see not a regular season game) the TAMU won. However as said before anything that happened that long ago has absolutely ZERO to do with either LSU or TAMU today other than providing you with a reassuring distraction to the facts at hand.

Here is what I wrote so you can read it again.

quote:

Then deciding to defend the facts about my "points" by indicating they have anything to do with a regular season series that ended 17 yrs ago is just floundering. The teams taking the field Sat have nothing to do with teams from that time period other than name sake.

quote:

I just found it odd that you are going to an LSU site to rag on A&M.

Well I have been on this site for over 5 yrs. I was born in BR, graduated HS there, took courses at LSU that contributed to my degree which was earned at TCU, and have attended at least one game in Tiger Stadium every year since I was 6 yrs old. Apparently it is difficult for you to understand that some people have varied life experiences and more wordly views than simply being restricted to College Station. Although I did post comparisons, I did not "rag on A&M" as you suggest, in fact I noted that their wins were "impressive", "comparitively dominante", and examples of having "put on a clinic".

quote:

The point which you are ignoring is that A&M could have basically put up whatever number it wanted to in those blowouts and yet you are using that as statistical data against A&M

No I noted that. Apparently other schools were also able to "put up whatever number" they wanted against the same schools also and did so in excess of the TAMU effort.

quote:

You also emphasize yardage totals over points which is odd considering A&M is averaging nearly 50 points a game.

Really? What say you to the third sentence of my OP then:

quote:

Heck Johnny Football and company only managed to score more points compared to other teams against 50% of their common opponents this season and 2 of those 3 have losing records.

Also note the following game by game comparisions.

quote:

when looking at Fla, arguably TAMU's only real defensive challenge thus far, both 2-4 Vandy and 3-3 Tenn were able to put up more total yards, more passing yards, and equivalent or greater points. Even 4-3 MAC competitor Bowling Green was able to put up only 7 less total yards, 26 more passing yards, and only 3 less points than the amazing TAMU offense.

quote:

Against SMU, TAMU put up an impressive 605 yards 380 in the air and a total of 49 points. However 3-2 Baylor put up 613 yards, 393 in the air and 59 total points

quote:

Against ...South Carolina State ... TAMU put ...dominating 56 pt margin after giving up 14 to the dogs (thats 70 pts for those bad in math). ..Arizona ...dominating 56 pt margin after shutting the dogs out.(thats 56 pts for those bad in math)

quote:

Against Ole Miss.. TAMU had ..a total score of 30
..Alabama was able to put up 3 more points ..Texas ...was able to gain ...astounding 66 points.

quote:

over ..LaTech team, TAMU ..for a total 59 points ..Houston ...49 pts. Virginia ...38 points. Even UNLV ...31 .

T
quote:

AMU did comparatively dominate... was...Arkansas. ...58 points ... Alabama won by a 52 pt margin ...Both Rutgers and ULM put up ...34 + points on the same Ark team.

Yep your right I never mentioned points scored for any team you played. In fact I only left of the score of TAMU's worst offenseive performance. Sorry.

quote:

Then you switch gears to say A&M can only be as good as it was against UF

I never wrote this I merely indicated as the only strong defnese TAMU has faced they did poorly.

quote:

A&M may well lose on Saturday but what we did against UF won't have much to do with it. Whatever makes you feel good though.

I would say it more useful for a comparison than a 11 yr old history of games involving a school not even playing in the matchup.

quote:

Whatever makes you feel good though

The point of the entire thread as stated several times is not that TAMU is a bad offense. They are in fact are a good team offensively and as proven so far a marginally better than average team defensively.

However, the premature annointing of Johnny football and and the TAMU offensive squad as an unstoppable force fails to note that: TAMU IS NOT THE MOST PRODUCTIVE OFFENSE THAT MOST OF ITS OPPONENTS HAVE FACED.

I'm wondering why you're here. TCU is not in the SEC. You should be worrying about Tech. The Raiders will give you all you want this week.

Another Aggie with reading difficulties.

If they would just turn on avi's and sigs it would probably help though.

Once again all the Aggies in this thread keep proving themselves to be immature and incapable of substantive discussion.

This is the Tiger Rant not the SEC Forum. I have never been to Shaggy Bevo but you seem well acquainted. Nice job failing to learn to read and being the upstanding and honorable Aggie student/grad that retorts to calling others names and using vulgarity.

New data to add to the list

When facing SMU, Houston despite 9 turnovers and 9 penalties costing 73 yards and losing embarrassingly by a 23 point margin, put up 560 yards of total offense, 445 in the air, 115 on the ground, and 49 points.

This means another team has also earned as many points against SMU as TAMU did this season. Baylor actually put up more though with 59 points.

Indicating once again that:

TAMU IS NOT THE MOST PRODUCTIVE OFFENSE THAT MOST OF ITS OPPONENTS HAVE FACED.
