Kadron Boone

Boone was one of Metts favorite target early on last season when Landry and Beckham weren't catching anything.

4 catches for 37 yards is good?? Its not bad, but not good.

And that was the most balls he caught all year. 4. Hell He caught 26 balls all year.

Early on in the year he was a favorite target of Mett?? 2 catches vs North Texas. 1 vs Washington and Idaho. 3 vs Towson and Auburn. So 9 catches in the 1st 5 games... but he was a favorite target.

Haha yea I agree some were overthrown. But to call him a favorite target is pushing it.

And I mean look at the numbers... dude hasnt done anything at LSU. People always say oh Boone is gonna break out this year and do this and that. Hes a mediocre player. He should be a decent #4 WR behind Landry, OBJ, and Dural. Leslie might even pass him up if he can figure it out soon. I just think people have always said Boone is great and is gonna have a huge year. When he never does. He only has 37 catches in his career and cant even consistently get a lot of PT. And considering we didnt lose a WR this year and we got 1 back in Dural, I dont see how you can think Boone will have a surprise season. Sounds like Dural could even become a top 2 WR for us.

Same thing goes for James Wright.

and 3 touchdowns in the first 3 games. I'm not sure why you're so intent on shitting all over Boone. 33% of Mett's touchdown passes last season were caught by Boone.

Yea TDs vs North Texas, Idaho, and Washington. We put up 41, 41, and 63 points against those teams. Everyone and their mother scored. And 2 of those TDs came in the 3rd or later where the game was in hand. He had the 1st TD vs Idaho. Yippie. And in those 3 games, he had a total of 4 catches. 3 went for TDs and it was vs joke of teams. Kind of a fluke.

Look at what he did against legit competition please.

I dont have any intent to be "shitting" on Boone. Just looking at his history here and what hes done. . Just feel like people always say they expect Boone to have a great year and turn heads. And he never does. Younger players have consistently passed him up on the depth chart after hes had first crack at the starting spot. Just doesnt do enough to keep the spot and consistently get on the field. He barely plays 50% of the meaningful plays. Not bashing the guy.. Hes a solid #4 WR and seems to be a hard worker and a good kid. Just a mediocre WR.. Just dont get why people think hes going to surprise people this year.

His TD catch vs TAMU was a huge play and was a nice catch. Other than that 1 catch, hes done nothing. And that was his only TD from game 4 to the end of the season, when we got into SEC play.

i don't expect a "breakout year", but i think he's solid. our passing game has been awful the last few years and he has been consistent. I think he'll catch maybe twice as many balls as last year and score twice as much as well. if you want to point to stats, it's not like obj or even landry's are all that impressive, and i think they're both good to very good.

Well, if he's been that bad, according to you, he could well fit anyone's guess as a break-out player...

IMO Dillon Gordon will have a breakout year.

I'm going with Beckwith, he should be the starting MLB from what I've heard.

Our whole passing game was the shits, so any stats are relative and virtually meaningless, you are trying to compare 4 bad wr's and claim which one was best.

Ta-Da!

I don't think Boone was bad or great last year, just my wild response to the OP.

The only rationale you need to respond is generally speaking low expectations.
