Yeah, it's fun. But 1-7 v. Florida, Bama, Arky and Ole Miss over the last two years is exasperating. Hope Miles instills some Vengeance is Mine Saith the Lord attitude in our boys this weekend.

I could go either way on the football issues being discussed, but you are bringing nothing to this thread but retarded and out of date civil war era expressions. I was enjoying the debate until ur old musty arse showed up and started shaking your cane at everyone

So much fun.....that I gave up my season tix this year (not the rights mind you..lol) and may not renew them for a while.....I dont enjoy the games as much anymore b/c the O blows hard. Can stay at home and get just as pissed off for free. As long as someone wants to buy my tix, Im staying at home until Crowton leaves or gets hit by a bus!
That is all......

That is all......

Sonnyboy, go put on some acne medicine and quit playing with your daddy's computer before he puts you in time out. You and your pals from jr. high know nothing about LSU football or football at all. And yes, sonnyboy, I am old. I have the benefit of age to give me some bit of wisdom. You have none and if you keep yapping at people and humping their legs like your great aunt's pekinese dog you will never have any of your own.

LSU football is a tradition. Being a national contender is not. Therefore, those of us who were born in 1965 or before, the '03 NC brought excitement and enthusiaism for the future after all those years of saying, "wait until next year."
The LSU nation was finally involved in championship discussions, and meaningful games provided the stage for "Saturday Nights in Tiger Stadium." The success would eventually work against us when Saturday Night became 2:30 on CBS. Nevertheless, the offense became explosive, the defense was stiffling and the LSU Football tradition now included N C's.
A funny thing happened after the '07 N C. Miles had to replace the veteran starters that had been in place since the Saban days. That is when Miles finally put his brand on this team. LSU was no longer Saban's team, but belonged to Miles. We all were excited when Miles continued the recent trend of excellent recruiting which kept LSU in the N C discussions. However, we then begin to see that Miles was going to "develop" these young men. A five star recruit could contribute, but was more likely to be "spoon fed" during his freshman year. Unable to land one of the many vaunted D.C's on the market upon Pellini's departure, he decided to make 2 position coaches Co- D.C's. He hired Crowton, Strawda, and various other position coaches that strangely, have a strong Midwest background on their resumes. Suddenly, the developing young talent gave way to a "rebulding year." The offense was not explosive, the defense was passive, and the crowd gave way to Big 10 football in the Big House!
Like it or not, National Championships should continue to be expected. Those that say other schools would love to be in our position, you're right. There are about 115 D1 schools that would, but they're not because they haven't had 2 N C's in 6 years, they haven't had numerous 1st round draft picks, they haven't had top 5 recruiting classes in the last 10 years. But Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida and Ohio State expect N C's every year. That isn't a pipe dream, and it isn't unrealistic...it's what you expect when you expect excellence.
The bottom line is Les Miles does less with more. An old cliche, I know, but true. For the last 2 years, Alabama and LSU recruiting classes were considered "dead even" by many analysis. Who has performed and contributed more combined? Jefferson, Shepard, Randle or Julio Jones, Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram?
There is talent, what you do with it and how they develop is strictly a coaching responsibility.
A friend of mine put it in perspective. I would love to have Les as my father, but sure don't want him to be my football coach.

Is LSU football fun anymore? Has Les Miles sucked all of the life out of the LSU football team and the fanbase? Does his milquetoast, mid-western blockhead style and approach to football ruin the experience for the passionate LSU fan?
has the LSU fan base on the rant sucked all the life out of the LSU football team and the coaches? Does their blowhard, small minded, narrow style and delusional approach to football ruin the experience for the realistic LSU football fan?
there ya geaux...fixed it.

If you haven't enjoyed LSU football during this decade, you will never enjoy LSU football.

Yeah...he had to kick a heisman caliber qb off the team from which it is just beginning to recover.
the inconvienent truth stikes again. with Perriloux we're national contenders...with out Perriloux we're in catch up mode. Funny how you genius' always forget that part.
another thing butthead...the '07 team was not Sabans' team, it was clearly Miles' team and the 'have a nice day rant' before the SEC champ. game sparked that team to the natcham. another inconvienient truth.

No, sonnyboy, the bottom line is you and all the rest who think like you do are stupid.
This is the last time I am going to address this. There are too many kids posting who know nothing about football or coaching. All you know how to do is bitch and complain because LSU is not winning every game. You are going to be complaining all your lives because undefeated seasons are not anything near common. It's a fact of life you should learn to deal with.
Now, all of you SHUT THE HELL UP and quit playing with your daddy and mommy's computers.
And again, I am done with this. To bandy words with children only bring me to their level and I have gained nothing by besting children and fools.

Let me first say that I am not of the type that is saying that LSU is in a downward trend. I still support Miles, and I think that the team will be in position to win the West next season. However, I must say that LSU football has not been very fun to watch over the last 2 seasons.

I think we was implying this season and last season. But to be honest, the 07 season wasn't fun to watch after the first few games. It was fun to say we wont the title in retrospect, but once the injuries and long SEC season began to wear on the team, it was very frustrating to watch.

Righttttttttttt...where is the fun in being in the top 10 and 8th in the BCS.
What a bummer!
Just think how "no longer fun" it must be for USC, Ga, Okla, Penn St, Nebraska, Tenn, Fla. St, ND, Aub, and Michigan fans to just name a few.
