A note on Pete Thamel...

He had contacted a friend of Zach Mettenberger's around August of 2012 and gave his business card to that person. This was to gain information on Tyrann Mathieu so he could run a story, but wanted personal details. I was given the card. I was enraged. The only positive thing to do was rip the card up and not add to the mayhem it was at the time. I boycott him now.
Don't spend time giving any attention, name recognition, twitter mentions, page views, etc. Forget and avoid his material completely. That is the only way it works.

There is a difference between being a hot take peddler and putting out actual stories that are damaging to reputation with bad to nonexistent sources.

I have no use for Pete Thamel who is an unethical journalist, but what is wrong with him conducting research on Mathieu for a story? One of the major problems with Thamel is doesn't do enough research and does stories based on innuendo. I realize he has an agenda when dealing with Tyran and LSU, but if he bases it on fact obtained thru research, its fair game.
