The way the chart is laid out definitely makes me think Stingley and Vincent should start CB and Fulton should play Safety.

Uh no. Stingley isn't the only freshman that is ready to play. Ward will play early too. Next to Stingley he's the best coming in.

Nah it will be Fulton, Stinngley and avincent at Nickle with Netherlands Kirklin, Ward, Joseph, etc... providing depth.

Safety is deeper and we have good options opposite Delpit.

Stephen/Harris/ mythical monroe. We’re fine there.

The question, as always, is the other side of the ball.......

The perennial question. Everyone knows Aranda will earn his salary and have his unit ready to go. It all comes down to what O and E can do with the offense. This will be their third year at it and results are expected.

What to do with Jacoby Stevens?

The former five-star recruit caught fire in the final three games of the season with 27 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and an interception

Yeah the question is if he can play true safety or if he’s a package safety/OLB.

Three safety look?

Delpit
Stevens
Harris

Defenses fricked.

Chaisson, Stevens coming off both edges. Divinity, Phillips up middle.

Don't forget Brooks. He's a freak of nature that will see the field sooner rather than later.

But at NT, his quickness usually makes for a mismatch for most opposing OCs and OGs.

The issue is that in order to take advantage of his quickness, he has to sort of guess/pick a gap and blow through it.

The role of the NT in our D is to take up blockers and not move from his 2 gaps.

While that mismatch may work in some defenses, it exposes the LBers in ours.

So instead of using his quickness, you have a small NT trying to hold his gaps like hes 330 pounds.

And it’s a great reason why LSU should one-gap more in 2019 instead of playing the 3-3-5, 2-gap, soft zone crap.

I sure hope some of the backups step up this year because looking at what leaves after this year on defense im like thinking about next years defense.

What about it? The only reason people have been focusing on it is they think it's a chance to slam coach O.

Well some people are focusing on it because we plan on still being LSU fans in 2020

No sammy. They've been focusing on it because they think that there'll be a depth issue where there won't be. People see a chance to slam the coach and they certainly aren't going to pass that up.

Agree to disagree.

Seems to me like a lot of DL depth is leaving.
