1. It's been said a lot, but I don't think it can be over-stated how good Jake Locker is.

2. Half-time adjustments were good. It made a huge difference in the second half.

3. The team only had a few penalties, and with all the crowd noise, that's surprising. BTW the phantom PI call was BS.

4. Jordan Jefferson didn't throw any TD's to the other team. That is all.

Ole Miss:
Their offensive line is not very good. Memphis pressured Snead a lot. Their defense is fast.

Tennessee:
Defense is scary. Crompton still sucks. They will test UF.

ALabama:
Greg McElroy is not good. Without Julio Jones, Alabama loses. Although, their defense is the real deal. Also their offensive line is very suspect.

Give me a break WKU is horrible . Any team in the SEC would have done that to them.

I think MacElroy is pretty average at best as well. While I hate to say it, Julio Jones is the reason that Bama was able to blow up a little in the second half passing the ball. Why you ask? Well, he basically was bracketed the whole game, taking away two defenders and essentially giving every other receiver single coverage.

Ingram and Upchurch are dominant. Good to see Upchurch healthy cause the kid is a joy to watch. I say that out of respect, but hope he struggles against our Tigers. They won't have a game like that against SEC defense as often since most have bigger defenses than Tech, but we should see some improvements.

Bama's OL is mediocre right now. Those backs were getting almost all their yardage after breaking tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage, but their OL (Like LSU's) will improve.

All in all, it will be a fun season.

Doesn't matter, to only give up 83 total yards. Hell, they could trip and fall for 83 yards. Even if all they did was run the ball 3 time sna dpunt, they'd have more 83 yards.

WKU is in its first legit year in FBS. It is the first game of the season which is often the worst offensive game of the year for most teams. UTenn's defense will be solid, but let's not overreact. Our Tepper defenses dominated teams including Auburn in 1998, so please don't jump to conclusions.

This is far from the truth.

ETA: Think of your worst nightmare, this is '09 UF.

agree.

UT's defense was flying all over the field and really hitting people in the mouth.

They may not test God's gift to football like some people think, but a winning record for the Vols this year isn't out of the question.

People are getting way too excited over Tennessee winning and Georgia losing. Georgia I think will dominate South Carolina and I think Tennessee will be one of the worst teams in the SEC this season.

There's no question the Vols will have a winning record, hell, they probably will win 7-8 games. But the gap between Tennessee and Florida just keeps on widening. They might test them for a half, but thats it.

Crompton was the victim of atrocious coaching last year, I could definitely see him pull it together under Kiffin like Ainge did his last year under Cutcliffe.

Yes, 500 yds of offense just wont get it done.
I would be shocked if we won another game.
How many TD catches did Julio have again? First down catches?
Without INGRAM and UPCHURCH and the great job by the O-Line, yes they were very good, we might have lost. Julio was actually outdone by Marquis Maze (2 catches for 57 yds) and Hanks (3 catches for 55 yds) Julio had 4 for 46. ESPN probably wont be calling you to breakdown the games. geez.
