That's what I'm talking about.

How about some of you negatigers? Having trouble performing to expectations? Afraid of a little criticism? All I am asking is that you dig deep into those brilliant minds and find one good thing to say about this team.

This has been done before. Try to be a little more original. Saying only positive things and ignoring the negative ones is a puss way out. It's like saying "I have herpes, but I haven't had a breakout in two months". Eventually, it's gonna come back and kick your dick in the dirt.

Just couldn't do it could you? I am not asking anyone to ignore the negative. I am just asking to focus on the positive for a while.

Being realistic doesn't mean you are negative. This team hasn't shown anything to make you think that they are an elite team. I would love for them to go undefeated, win championships etc. but lets face it ... they haven't played all that well

so call me a "negatiger" (gayest thing ive ever heard IMO)... I call it being realistic

I was pleased with the goal line stand, but we shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place. Chad Jones had a pretty good return for a touchdown, and Lafell looked very good. These are all positive.

On the negative side, we played MISSISSIPPI STATE, a team that may win 4 games this year. Seriously, should we celebrate for barely beating the worst team in the SEC?

I am not asking anyone to be unrealistic or declare LSU an elite team.

I am simply challenging people on this board to find something positive to say about a team that is 4-0.

Thus far I would consider the record for the response to the challenge as 2-2.

It's kind of like telling little Bobby "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" huh? Not buying it. If we want only positive, we should fire Les Miles and hire Charlie Weatherbie. Now that's a POSITIVE man.

It won't, but it will prove that those who complain about a team that they perceive as underachieving are just as incapable of meeting a challenge or expectation.

As disappointing as this was, it went just as I expected. It proves that some people can't or just don't want to even try look for something good to say.

Most positive people have better things to do than talk about how poorly there team is on a college message board...

I'm positive 4-0 bitches

(my take on being positive, repost from earlier)..

It's not as bad as it could be. No, it hasn’t been pretty & it started with Washington. Even though there has been some improvement, especially on the defensive side, it still is not pretty. Having said that, LSU stands 4-0 & the defense has not given up an offensive touchdown in 2+ games, our QB made up for our lack of a running game & threw for a career, albeit a short career, high 200+ yards.

I know most Tiger fans, including myself, are NOT happy with some of the things regarding our football team but given our dissatisfaction, think of this….It ain’t pretty, it looks awful at times, we can’t run, we can’t block, we can’t seem to deliver the kill shot BUT we are 4-0. Guess who is NOT? Ole Miss, Cal, Miami, FSU, USC, Penn State, etc. And guess what? Their fans were probably not as down on their teams as we are on ours. Things looked peachy in Oxford, Miami, LA, Tallahassee, etc. These teams were humming along. Their offenses were productive, they had solid starts from their QB’s, they could run, they could block, & they were supposed to be able to run through the little guys & hang in there with the big boys. Guess what?

It may not be pretty or dominating but in the end, it is taking care of business, something that many teams, many teams that are supposed to be “better” than LSU, have not. Whether you like Coach Les Miles or not, & why wouldn’t you at this point in his tenure as LSU coach, you can’t deny him the fact that, even when it’s hard to look at, he has his team 4-0 & #4 in the country WITH all the problems we are pointing out.

This college football season is going to be one for the books, nothing is sacred & nothing is as it should be. Look at what has happened over the past few weeks. QB’s are going down left & right, upsets are the norm, & anything can happen at any given time. Look at the PAC 10, Washington, the team that was 0-14, may be playing in the Rose Bowl, Houston is making it look easy against a team that the mighty UT couldn’t put away.

So what I’m trying to say is this, before anyone starts giving up their season tickets, putting for sale signs in Coach Miles’ yard, or tracking flights to & from Tuscaloosa, step back & look at the big picture, which includes an LSU team, that has struggled but found ways to win when others couldn’t. The whole feel of the college football scene is just very strange, for you Cajun speakers out there, it feels like someone has put a gris-gris on the whole season & no one is safe. Let’s just take it for what it is, sure we may not be happy but I think we are a little happier than the folks in Oxford, Miami, LA, etc. We are 4-0 & no one can take that away. The road is long & hard & will be filled with many potholes but it could be worse. Instead of beating Washington, we could have done what USC did. Instead of beating Vandy & MSU, we could have taken the weeble route & let an inferior team beat us. Instead of beating ulala, we could have gone the way of FSU & had a lesser team from a lesser conference beat us. So as bad as it is & seems to some, it is much worse elsewhere & I think as the season goes on, we will see improvement & we will see this team get better. And that to me is VERY encouraging because what I’ve seen so far is a team that doesn’t have it all together but is still able to do what the teams who supposedly DID have it all together could not.
