Top to bottom, many argued that the Big12 was tougher than the SEC last year. Who did Bama play in the east besides UT, dumpster fire UF? Bama beat ARK and lost to LSU. That sums up their accomplishments last year in the regular season.

It was ridiculous. Hense the new plus one system being implemented next season.
Adding the Big 12 champion to LSU's list of defeats last year would have solidified the 2011 LSU team as the most accomplished team in college football history.
But...the media hates LSU.

Kansas was 11-1... Hawaii was 12-0. VA tech was 11-2 and won the ACC. Oklahoma was 11-2 and won the B12. How did we get in over them? Because they looked at our losses... We had the prettier losses.

Bowl rematches suck regardless. We have 2 21-0 beatdowns to teams we had previously beaten to prove it. Didn't work too well for FSU either. That was even worse because they played back to back games against each other.

Haha im not trolling and that was the 1st time i brought up 2007 FYI. Just trying to show people that sometimes the system hurts you, other times it helps you. Its just how it falls sometimes.
Kansas was 11-1 that year and Hawaii was 12-0. Va Tech, Oklahoma, Mizzou, USC, and West Virginia were all 11-2.

Yeah, Kansas and Hawaii were powerhouses all right.
The SEC is the toughest conference and that's why we got in over other 2 loss major teams. "Pretty losses" had nothing to do with it, nor should it have.

I love this new for 2011 metric of prettier loss. It is THE ONLY REASON (/Peej mode) Bama was let into the big game.
