#1 and #2 LSU QB's (Probably 3 and 4 too) can all successfully complete the Lake Pontchartrain Passing Challenge exam. No more glorified running backs vainly trying to play QB in the SEC.

If only the LSU QB's had a Bama-Wisconsin-Clemson-Ohio State caliber OL in front of them.

Everything else is in place...

semjackass (BRAVEHEART) you must be happy as a pig in slop. No more "glorified running backs" on the roster. Now if only they would fully replace the OL, except for Deculus and Cole Smith, with "up north" guys, you would be in segregated heaven.

You'll have to pray to that "god" people of your ilk pray to, that the committed QBs for the next two classes would decommit. Because they too are the "glorified running backs" that you talk against. And we all know "they" are not intelligent or quick thinking enough to play QB or OL. At least that is what you would have everyone believe.

I say again, I hope your job, whatever it is, does not have any effect whatsoever on black people. Just the thought of you being a public school teacher, judge, police officer, or any other similar type position is frightening. What you have is an untreated mental illness.

As a Buckeye fan I waited for 2 years hoping to watch Joe start but sadly Urban was (unwisely) devoted to J.T.Barrett. His devotion to players and staff members are sometimes detrimental to the program, as you may have noticed recently.

Are you referring to the JT Barrett below when you say Meyer "unwisely" was devoted to him? And for two years you wanted Joe Burrow to be the starter over him? If so, either you are psychotically biased or Joe Burrow will lead LSU to a minimum 11-2 season and be a Heisman finalist. We'll have to wait and see. In fact, I hope you are right! That would be fantastic for LSU and Burrow would be on the level of Cam Newton as a transfer QB. But I'm sure can understand me being just a little bit skeptical.

Barrett was named Conference Freshman of the Week seven times and received the Big Ten's Thompson–Randle El Freshman of the Year award. He received the Big Ten's Griese–Brees Quarterback of the Year award in 2014, 2016 and 2017. Barrett was named First Team All-Big Ten in 2014, 2016 and 2017 by both conference coaches and media. Barrett earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors nine times.

Barrett is the first quarterback in Buckeyes history to go 4–0 as a starter against their top rival, Michigan.
Barrett is the only three-time captain in the history of the Buckeyes football team.

School and Conference Records

Barrett accumulated more than 25 Ohio State records including most total yards in a season (3,851) and most touchdowns in a season (47) as well as most career passing yards (9,434) and completions (769). Additionally, he has several Big Ten Conference records including most career passing touchdowns (104) and total touchdowns (147) as well as he passed Drew Brees for most career offensive yards with 12,697.

Barrett was 38-6 in the 44 games he started at OSU. He completed 63.5% of his passes for 104 TDs with 30 Ints. He ran 656 time for 3,263 yards (4.9/carry) for 43 TDs for a total of 147 TDs!

On May 3, 2018, Barrett signed a three-year deal with the Saints as an undrafted free agent.

All good, you’re new. It’s just our opponent. Just a TD thing.
I’ll never do Bama though

Without going line for line with your comments I'll say Barrett played great as a freshman. He slowly declined from that point on.
He did not play in any of the championship playoff games including beating Wisconsin the same year.
OSU would have lost to Michigan last year if Haskins had not replaced Barrett.
Dabo Sweeney's comment "we're not worried" was because OSU's offense was one dimensional, he knew Barrett couldn't throw the ball more than 5 yards down the field which is where all his completions came from.
Any decent QB would have had the records and numbers if they played on the same team as Barrett crom their freshman season on.

I'm not saying Barrett was bad by any means, I'm comparing him to the 2 QB's on the bench behind him.
I think OSU makes the playoffs with another QB in 2017. OSU has 2 of the best running backs in the country and Meyer let Barrett have more carries than either of them which was another reason I would like to have seen one of the other QBs.

I thought Haskins replaced Barrett because of injury. The games I watched of OSU Barrett always brought them back. That is what I saw in him, he always gave them a chance to win. You mention Haskins but under your desires, Haskins wouldn’t have had the opportunity.

You say Barrett had a good freshman year as if his other years were mediocre. Yet he was 1st team Big 10 QB 3 of his 4 years there. And received the Brees QB award 3 of his 4 years. And in addition to that set 25 OSU records and numerous Big 10 records. Yet you believe his backup QBs were better? Okie Dokie.

I hope that is true and Burrow is better than Barrett and Haskins. LSU would be on a great championship type run these next two years. But chances are the OSU coaches, his stats & records, Big 10 coaches & Big 10 media who voted for him, are a more objective statement as to Barrett’s ability. And you are a fan with a favorite QB, all else be damned.

Are you related to or a friend of Barrow?

You’re joking right? That or you are a kid.

I would hazard a guess that 90+% of sane LSU fans would choose Barrett over Etling. No disrespect to Etling intended. That would be choosing a record breaking Big 10 QB over a QB that lost the starting job at Purdue. And I did say sane. There are some on here that definitely are not. And would take Etling over Desean Watson.

You just can’t know until the games are played. I’m hopeful, though. At least he’s new blood with a good resume’.

As a buckeye fan I consider myself a guest and try to be as respectful as possible but I feel I must defend my position.

I will answer you line by line this time and I do respect your opinion although you dont have the knowledge of the Buckeyes I have.

1. Barrett did not always bring the team back, our defense which sent 9 players to the NFL draft the last 2 years kept the team in the game numerous times. I mention Haskins due to the fact that Burrow started the season with a broken bone in his hand which gave Hadskins the opportunity.

2.I do believe his backups were better. Give me a list of the elite Big 10 QBs that should replace him (along with his talented playmates) in his honors.

3.LSU does not automatically go on a championship run the next 2 years, I know that LSU has a great set of receivers, your good running back is being replaced and I know nothing about your O line. I know little about your defense which affects your offense greatly.

4.At one time JT Barrett was listed on the 11 Warrioes site (Buckeyes forum) as my favorite buckeye, so no, I'm not related to Barrow (?) Burrow. I did realize as time went on what the team lacked and what they needed.

You have to realize that in the past 2 years OSU has underachieved with 9 defensive players and 5 offensive players have been "drafted" into the NFL along with a few others including Barrett have also signed.

All the records you keep referring to could have gone to any QB that was given the opportunity to start every year like Barrett did.
