Well then, sir, I will not tell you that. I will, however, tell you that LSU is going to beat Bama.

Doesn't matter. They're just "realists."

They like to dissect LSU and their weaknesses while spotlighting the opposing teams strengths and comparing the two.

That's completely real.

worried way more about losing two fumbles and two INT's and not picking off two of theirs than comp %.

if our D can play like they did vs Ole miss we have a great chance.

PEEJ, we beat Ole Miss throwing the ball 16 times, why not 'Bama?

Sure we can but he needs to complete more than 8 of them........ Zero turovers and win the field position battle and LSU SHOULD win.......

It's going to come down to turnovers and defense. Hopefully a low scoring game. We can't get in a shootout

You know you are right. 8-16 or whatever substandard stats that Jennings had didn't cut it against ole miss either. It was our running game and defensive team that won the game. I do think for bama Jennings is gonna have to do more in the passing game.

While I completely believe that we are capable of beating Bama, I tend to agree with the OP. If we turn the ball over 4 times we WILL NOT beat Bama.

If the D played like they did we will keep it close but will not win.

However if you drop that to 2 turnovers and give me the same Defensive output I think we can pull it off.

My coach got fired, so I don't think it's instructive. Our issues were not the QB play.

Why the personal attack over an opinion?

Don't lump me in with PJ simply because I happen to share one opinion, which I think is a perfectly valid opinion.

And I answered the question, which I know was really just rhetoric to tell me to shut up. The funny thing is, I did play in college. I also played QB. I also was limited in my skill set like Jennings (actually, in honesty, I wasn't as skilled as Jennings because he is a far better runner than I ever was). Regardless, this is not about me. This is about the production from the QB position on this LSU football team.

hard to get beat with any QB stats when you hold the opponent to 7 points.
OM could have been a route without the turnovers.
Insufferable some of your are.

With everything said in this thread, we all know that Jennings is going to have the same EXACT stats as he did vs. Ole Miss.

You know, I'm sure they'll have the same game plan, the same WR's will be covered, the passing game won't be opened up as much...

Jordan Jefferson doesn't play on this team.

Neither does 85% of the players that played in that game.

7 of 14 for 120 yards a game cut it for Georgia in 1980...of course, their running offense ran for 220+ yards a game...

Georgia went 12-0 and won the National Title...

Have heard this the last month.

My sincere hope is that Jennings stat line looks something like 7-13 for 103 yards and 1 TD and LSU wins the game just so all of you experts will STFU about what "stats" will or will not win a game.

And duh, if he throws 2 INT it will be harder for LSU to win.

They also had a feature back Named Walker that carried the ball 30-35 times a game. You just can't do that anymore.. He was a special, special once in lifetime athlete... He was a way better player than almost anyteam he went against... He was a man amoung boys back then... In todays game its just not the case......

I love following some of the argument here, where it is accepted that LSU is a different team year to year, but apparently Bama is just Bama -- an unchanging static entity of a great team.

Sabanseessed!!!
