6+ runs in 11 straight games

Including 8+ runs in 8 of them.
Only 6-5 in that span - 77 runs given up and (this may be incorrect) 59,014 walks.
95 runs scored in 11 games, with a very young lineup.

Yeskie has the skins on the wall to have people defending him. The results this year are arse. I don't think anyone's defending the results this year.

Nate Yeskie has yet to walk a batter this year.
Something is off mentally with the pitching staff, we have guys that throw gas and have great stuff but simply can’t hit spots.
Some of y'all are legitimately fricking retarded.. do us a favor and piss off until football season.

Yup. He’s got some equity from past performances. He can’t go to the mound and throw it over the plate for them.

So what’s the pitching coaches job? Can you tell us that?

Were you bitching about him last year?

- Improving velocity
- Building consistency and/or adjusting mechanics
- Developing secondary pitches
- Situational defense and positioning, which can also fall under the head coach but it’s part of mechanics
Again, the pitching coach cannot make the pitchers throw strikes. They can put them in the best possible position to be effective, but a mentally weak pitcher is not something that can be corrected on the practice field, bullpen or mound.
Now you tell us what their job is and where he is failing in your mind.

Completely agree, and all of these have not gotten better at all. Literally none of them.

Schmidt and Cowan have absolutely gotten better.
A few have the potential to improve, but as I’ve said many times this year, JJ has fricked a lot of our pitchers mentally with how he has micromanaged for the sake of matchups.
The effective bullpen guys usually get yanked after they get brought in to get one guy out, then we have dudes like Rizy who will walk the bases loaded before we make a change.
Pitchers want to pitch, you can only imagine how frustrating it is to throw 5-6 pitches and have to look over your shoulder because the guy on deck hits from the other side of the plate.

These require talent and time. Yeskie hasn’t had a lot of either of those this year with these guys. They are all new or coming off injury.

Throwing 100 but basically Ricky Vaughn is useless. Rather a touch slower with some control
