Stock market is going to dip Monday because all the Miami betters are going to have to liquidate their assets to pay us.

No, bookies want the money EVEn - 50%. That is why the line moves. THey make the money off 10% juice
correct. Vegas doesn't want to pick winners and losers. They set, and adjust the line, to try to get even money on both sides, and they collect the vig.

It's astounding how many people on this board don't understand how a sports book works.

Vegas doesn't love or hate any team. They set a line, and move it according to the incoming bets to get even money on both sides.

Vegas typically doesn't give a damn who wins or loses a game. THey just collect the vig.

I'm just betting the over/under and feel like I'll be stealing money doing that.

If that were true, then the line would be changing right now to encourage more betting on LSU. Since that's not happening, not sure I believe these numbers.

Right, that makes more sense, that's why the line is stable.

And as far as the game on the field, it means nothing.

And you’re one of them. Do money lines not exist?

Ask yourself, what are the odds that thousands of people betting various amounts of money on two sides of a bet equal exactly the same amount? Vegas has exposure on just about every game. You’re repeating a myth that’s not based in reality whatsoever

Would it be great if all 60 games this weekend had a 50/50 split? Of course. But it rarely happens.

oh It could be true. It also means Vegas is hedging hard on LSU.

Sharp money should be in, the public will weigh in this week.

yes, sometimes.

Sometimes they let it ride for unknown reasons. If 80 percent of the cash is in on Miami and Vegas ain’t moving, they are confident in LSU. Almost makes you wonder if Miami is going to announce some suspensions/injuries?

They don’t care about the thousands of money line bets they take each weekend? Where do you guys get these ideas from
