Great night in Tiger Stadium, Casanova, Bert Jones, Andy Hamilton 28-8. Nat'l TV, it was electric.

Correct; 1971. I was in BR for that game. In 1972, I was in Tiger Band. We didn’t play ND that year.

That was 1971 in Baton Rouge. LSU licking their chops to get after Notre Dame after losing in South Bend 3-0 in 1970.

Watched this on TV.....I hated ND (and still do).....we kicked their butts all the way back to South Bend....

Yeah, I believe that was the game Art Cantrell ran wild. I recall him busting through the ND line. So try to imagine this. Cantrell has the after burner on and he's glancing back over his right shoulder at the pursuing ND players like he can't believe he'd just pulled that run off. All the while Tigah Stadium goes completely insane. IMO that was the moment LSU took control of that game. Tigah Stadium went completely insane that night. Welcome to the Big League and Prime Time LSU.

Fond Memories. Wow! If that stadium could talk.
