@Tigerbait357......what major changes do you feel we need? Coaching? Lineups? Very disappointing to lose, but do you think they have become complacent?

I am trying to comprehend how LSU sticks vaults in practice but its very different in the meets... Bob Moore needs to change up what he is doing to try to find some consistency. That said its only 2nd meet of the year. Vaulting is one of the events you don't see much consistency until mid year.

Bars- Dean needs to go. She has no business in the lineup. Ferrer needs to be in there. Kirby would be an option but since she is out with injury we are pretty limited... Durante will not see big scores as a lead off so it is what it is.

Beam- My biggest concern coming into this season. We returned 4/6 routines but Durante and Dean have not competed beam in over 3 years. I am not convinced Dean will ever be able to provide true competitive scores but I do think Durante can. Kelley has looked good on beam but she currently has a minor injury from this meet.

Floor- Ferrer and Desiderio will need to be In the lineup at some point soon. Campbell as well. Edwards and Ruby are okay but if you want more of a punch with more difficulty and higher scores we will need to make some changes. Edney has been really bad the first two meets on floor. That I cannot explain. It makes no sense

She was no shakier than the 9.8 Auburn got on beam

And this is where the new rules on beam become problems

There is a new rule that states if you pause for a certain amount of time in between skills there will be a .10 deduction, a little longer it becomes .20

Based on these first two weeks, no one knows how to hell to enforce it

Tough meet. Tough scores. This team is so much better than this. In my opinion, the issue is not talent. They lost only five routines from last season, four from Hambrick and beam from Macadaeg, there should not be that much drop off.

Still have a long way to go in the season.

Don't go there man.

357 has stated he wants the women's basketball coach fired. She has only been on the job for 10 or 20 years and hasn't won a national title.

He sucks off the gymnastics coach who has been on the job for over 40 years and can make excuses like a Mofo for her. She has also never won a national title.

four from Hambrick

That’s a big loss. She had moxie, something these girls will need to find. I have faith they will.

beam from Macadaeg

Obviously another big loss.

Not surprising that it might take a couple of meets to get things going.

Talent level at LSU behind Finnegan and Edney just doesn't look near as strong as the last 5-6 years. Seems odd given that the facility they have is unmatched in the country.

Why isn't recruiting improving?
The idea that the facility is that big of a factor is another false narrative. Sure, the facility is gorgeous, top of the mountain at this point. There are so many other factors and every recruit has different priorities.

The most important thing about the facility is whether it is good enough for them to train safely and efficiently. After that, the school, the location, the culture, the other girls on the team, and the support structure come into play. The culture in CA at UCLA is fairly different from the culture in LA at LSU. Not a whole lot can be done about that.

Also, all of these girls know each other from the circuit, so one might choose a school for one factor and another chooses to be with her friend(s). You also have to account for the fact that most of these girls have lived a very sheltered/sequestered life and did not go to regular school, which also complicates things.

Needless to say, recruiting these girls is very difficult and tricky. Even with the best facilities and the best recruiters, it's difficult and takes some luck to land the best girls in a given year.

Edited for typo.

Easy guys it took DD 40..40 years to win a single Sec and this in a league with 5-8 teams...give her time, as Joe said she has built one of the best programs in college sports..10 more years for a coach who literally has lost 75% of her meets all time versus UGA, Bama and UF..facts not opinion...42 years...42..two years of Sec titles, 40 years of losing and usually finishing in bottom half of Sec...facts. Look it up..just give her time
