Will Miles coach the team in 2011 if that happens?

Yes, because Lestards will claim we beat UF at UF and we were X amount of plays from 8-0.

I see more "We are X amount of plays from being 0-8" type posts on the rant, fwiw. But I guess you are ok with those, since you share the opinion of those making them.

Will he still be here? Yes.
Is that going to happen? I think not.

We are about to find out. Unfortunately I think
we will lose the rest of our SEC games. Don't see how we find enough offense (as long as JJ continues to take snaps) to beat Bama and Arky and we lose a close one to Mr Nutt and the Northern Mississippi Black Bears. Not being negative just realistic.

How the hell is it realistic to think we will lose to Ole Miss?

4-4 in a division where there are only 5 other teams? You're really the Tennessee defensive coordinator in disguise, right?

People, there is absolutely no way in hell that LSU is going to can Miles. Even if we lose our remaining games, Les isn't going anywhere. He'll still be a coach with a winning record and LSU isn't going to do anything until they see a significant decrease in ticket sales and an overall drop in TAF support. You guys can dream all that you want but we would really have to have a horrible season next year for the athletic department to start to feel the pressure. If next season is awful along with the season following that one, then you'll probably see a change in the head coach.

unless Florida loses the rest of their games and waters down the FLA win considerably more, Miles will survive any outcome equal to or north of 9 wins.

Ole Miss will be the 4th best offense we'll see all season according to national rankings and a better defense than Tennessee who took us to the wire at home.

LSU showed up for one game this year and it was UF and we still almost lost.

No game is assured.

LSU plays to the level of their opponent. Ole Miss is getting better (just a lil) as the season goes by and LSU....pretty much the same team since UNC. LSU has not improved since the beginning of the season.

kid, stay in school and learn something. Your reasoning skills are very bad. LSU is 7-1. You young kids, for the majority of you, have a long way to go before you even get half a clue. IF lsu loses 3 straight conference games, then worry. Quit being a negative dumbass and accept the fact we lost to the #4 ranked team on the road by 7 points. It happens. Your ignorant assumptions are just that...ignorant. Grow up some and gain some wisdom and maturity along the way.

There was supposedly enough money collected after last season to buy him out. I seriously doubt it would be difficult to get it arranged, and we'd have 2x the years left on his contract to pay him the buyout.

Also, if he got another job (required to really try and get one), LSU would only have to pay the difference.

If it was found out he leveraged his LSU salary to get paid less, since LSU would be paying a ton anyhow, he could also get in trouble.

Also, we have the recruiting issues with McCarthy as a leverage point.
