It is just so much aggressive than the 4-3.. UGA runs it perfectly. Bring it back BK!

frick that. We need that attacking 4-3!

It's light-years better than the passive 3-4.

When are you clowns going to let the whole “3-4 vs 4-3” thing go? Nobody runs either of those base defenses anymore.

Arandas defenses were good. But we didn’t pressure the QBs much.
I’ll be honest and say I have no idea which I prefer.

LSU wins a natty with 3-4 defense. Shrimp boat captain wanted a feaux man front.

I think we get way to caught up in what defense we run as fans. It doesn’t matter! What matters is how well you run it. They are great defenses that run both!

The is a perfect example of a “tell me you don’t know football without telling me you don’t know football” post. Base defenses don’t matter anymore, nobody really runs them and even when you do neither a 3-4 or 4-4 is naturally more aggressive than the other. It’s about who is making the calls.

God I wish this would die! In a 34, 90% of the time an OLB is up at the line which MAKES 4, it's also seldom a defense is in base. One isn't inherently better than the other. In a 4 man front your d lineman get upfield for TFLs and sacks, in a 3 man front most times the lineman are holding up blocks, more important is the coordinator not the base. I guarantee there are more 4 man fronts in the top 25 than 3 man fronts, I prefer a multiple D with 4 man fronts and some 3-3-5 looks. STOP with the 34 is the best BS

Georgia is actually playing a 3-3-5 per infographic. That is the way to geaux for defenses now.

If you run a 3-4 you need a mountain of a man like Jordan Davis. That's what makes the 3-4 difficult when you have a massive man to eat up double teams.
