This is for everybody who wants to see a complete breakdown. Tired of seeing irrational complaints with no substance. So here, y'all come here and get some solid facts to back up your bullshite.
First Drive - 3rd Quarter, 13:28 on clock.
1. I form. 1 TE left, 2 Split WRs. PA pass to Moore for 8.
2. False Start on Teuhema.
2b. Shotgun Tight. 2 TE in backfield. 2 WR split. LF7 beside DE. Out route to Jeter thrown high incomplete.
3. Shotgun. 3 WR. TE left. LF7 1 yard off line as a slot receiver/tight end. Incomplete crossing route to open Dural.
Second Drive - 3rd Quarter, 6:33 on clock.
1. Shotgun. 2 TE right, Twin WR left. Screen pass to LF7, bobbled for -1.
2. Ace. 2 TE and 1 WR right. 1 WR left. LF7 run up middle for 12.
3. Offsides on MS ST.
3b. I Form, 1 TE right. 2 Split Receivers. LF7 rush for 6, fumble.
Third Drive - 3rd Quarter, 2:25 on clock. From 7 yard line.
1. I form, 2 TE. 1 WR. LF7 rush for 5.
2. I form, 2 TE. 1 WR. LF7 rush for 0.
3. Shotgun. 1 TE left. 3 WR. LF7 beside DE. 20 yard crossing route complete, Holding.
3b. Shotgun. 1 TE left. 3 WR. LF7 near line as slot/tight end. Etling scramble for 8.
Fourth Drive - 4th Quarter, 13:51 on clock. From 1 yard line.
1. I form. 2 Te. 1 WR. LF7 for 1.
2. I form. 2 Te. 1 WR. Incomplete vertical pass, deep ball to Dural in 1 on 1 coverage
3. I form. 2 Te. 1 WR. LF7 rush for 10.
4. I form. 2 Te. 1 WR. LF7 rush for 14.
5. I form. 1 TE right, Twin WR left. PA Pass to Dural for 7.
6. I form. 1 TE right. 2 Split WR. Guice rush for 5.
7. I form. 1 TE right. 2 Split WR. Etling scramble pass incomplete to LF7.
8. I form. 1 TE left. Twin WR right. Pass to Chark for 11.
9. I form. 1 Te left. Twin WR left. Sweep to LF7 for 10.
10. I form. 1 TE left. 2 Split WR. PA rollout right, Etling rush for 4.
11. Ace. 1 TE and 2 WR left, 1 WR right. Guice for 0, chop block penalty.
11b. Shotgun. 1 Wr and 1 Te right, 2 WR left. 17 yard out route to Dupre complete.
12. Shotgun. 1 TE and 2 WR right, 1 WR left. Guice rush for 4.
13. I form. 2 TE. 1 WR right. LF7 fumble.
Fifth Drive. 4th Quarter, 3:23 on clock.
1. I form. 1 TE and Twin WR right. LF7 rush for 2.
2. Ace. 2 TE and 1 WR right. 1 WR left. End around to Chark for -4.
3. Shotgun. 2 WR right. 1 TE and 1 WR left. Etling scramble right, thrown away.
Didn't look at last drive, as it was basically running the ball in place of the mercy knee.
29 offensive plays called. 4 Didn't count or weren't run due to penalties.
13 designed pass plays. 16 designed run plays.
16 plays from I-Form, most of which we were backed up deep in our own territory. 3 plays from Ace. 8 plays from Shotgun.
Only play where we went I form over and over again was the 4th drive...which happened to be our longest and best sustained drive of the entire game until the fumble, and it started out at our own 1! It even overcame a 15 yard penalty on a second down. That drive would have been an 8 minute 99 yard touchdown drive which would have broken MS State. That fumble stopped the game from being a 30 point blowout.
Take this information and do as you will....just now you have something to back it up with for a change.

Thank you. This tells the actual story. Turnovers, penalties, injuries, field position. Hard to win convincingly when all of those things are going against you.

This is where the game changed and we got on our heals. We had the ball twice in the 4th quarter.

We started at the one yard line...

Was an excellent drive until the fumble. Keep that one going and score, and State rolls over and we win by at least 30-6. But it didn't happen that way.

Thanks for the intelligent analysis...stick around for a while and contribute more in the future...this site needs the sanity of it all...lol

I think these issues are still related to coaching, because they are continual across several seasons, and never seem to fully get fixed. However, the play calling was better with Etling out there for the last 7 quarters, so at least that seems to be trending upward.
I've given up hope on execution and discipline being fully fixed.

That fumble is the difference between this board being content and this board melting into a puddle.
It's quite comical.

They don't want it.
They just want to bitch. Like I said, the line has been drawn, and most of our fans on here are at the point of no return.

Our RBs fumbling hasn't been a nagging issue. We usually win the field position battle. Penalties have hurt us, but any penalty can mess up a drive for any team. Last night was just a perfect storm, and I don't think it's fair to blame it all on the coaches. Peveto and his shitty onside kick return formation, sure. But the best RB in the nation fumbling twice? C'mon. That's not on the staff.

You had Fun Bunch saying last night that Miles teams always fumble. Its mindblowing.

I just don't understand this line of thinking.
This game was about lack of execution and mistakes. They happen in football games. At some point, the coaching is overcome by the execution of the players. Everyone here knows damn well that if a certain player had an amazing game, it was the player that had the terrific game. Not the coach. But because the player failed to do his job, it's the coaches.

Proven by the fact that the second half is broken down in threads like this, in 45 minutes, there's 10 replies.
Say something about the crowd leaving and Les Miles sucks this game with no substance and it's 14 pages long.
Present information, people ignore it. Scream at the top of your lungs, everyone follows blindly.

This stuff. You have to give more options to DE than a single receiver. Killed the 3rd drive and nearly killed the 4th.

That's about right.
The Rant was a lot calmer this morning than the ScoreBoard was last night after the game. Maybe we can chalk some of that up to drunk emotional idiots.

They were designed runs. 5 out of 6 plays on those two drives had nothing to do with options for Etling.
The holding killed the drive the 3rd drive. Not the package.

When backed up deep, we put extra blockers...smart.
Once we get out of the shadow of our own end zone, we replace the extra tight end with another receiver.
And since Etling has shown that he will use the tight ends, full backs, and running backs as receiving targets as well as the receivers, that is perfectly ok. Don't have to go 5 wide to have options.

Holy shite.
They are designed runs. Not pass plays
They are plays where LF ran for 6.0 ypc.
My god our fan base will bitch about anything.
You just bitched about our qb's wr options on a running play.

Without looking, didn't they call a pass play on their own 1?
