Tracked down the bama receiver when they converted on 3-11 with about 8:30 left in 2nd quarter. Sprinted down the field to catch up with receiver, made the tackle, and bama had to settle for a field goal instead of touchdown. Did not give up! Geaux Tigers!

He was also the reason for the big gain on that play. He took a bad line allowing the receiver to break free.

CBK said in the post game "he better have run him down" or something like that.

It is great he didn't quit on the play though.

Have to be honest. Between what I saw last year and early this year I did not think he was an SEC quality starting Satefy. Proven wrong!!! Congrats to Burns!!!

His commitment was the best I’ve seen at LSU and for O to pull the offer the final days of the signing period is something I’ll never forgive, you need a team full of Major Burns’ who wear their heart on their sleeve and bleed purple and gold.

That was the play of the game

There was no singular play of the game

I made this thread on the Score Board at halftime Saturday. Said it reminded me of Delpit chasing Auburn dude down in ‘19 that wound up saving points when it would have been easy to just give up. I don’t care if it was Burns’ fault he was open, that’s just another example of the will of this team.

Well it was his fault to begin with. Not sure why we are praising an F up

It's borderline impossible to cover a RB on an angle route in zero blitz unless you sell out for it which leaves other routes open. He played it conservative and ended up tripping. He made up for it.
