Certainly not my thing, but if the students want to do it and have fun with it, I can certainly appreciate stunts that must have passed me by.

Just would hope it doesn't degenerate into a total lack of class, but have fun with it.

Dude you're an idiot you started this whole "cool on a Friday night" shite. I was just minding my own business posting some stuff on a message board and you have to roll in with your huge cock telling me why i'm dumb, not cool, and a loser cause i'm not out on Friday night.

as you said i'm a college student with no wife, degrees, or MBA's which evidently means you can't hold me to that same standard.

You're a human being for one...I hold you to the same standard. You're going to be an alumnus of my school...I assume, so I hold you to a greater standard. Have a good evening. Cheer on the Tigers loudly tomorrow.

well you see first hand how it works

the actions of the student body reflects bad on you, even though you weren't involved

You're completely right. But I fail to see how its my fault if I don't step over the line and I stop myself. I think the blame should lie with the students who abuse an otherwise fun stunt of getting someone's phone number.

me too...if it was just smack talk, it wouldn't be so bad

todays youth is so used to immediate contact they know few barriers

myspace, facebook, text messages. when they want to get/send info, they want it now

even email is too slow

to them, sending smack texts or prank calls is no different than smack posts on a message board or on someones myspace

this threead is great. very entertaining.

isnt the whole point of this to win a basketball game? so if they get in dudes head and jamel is thinking about them instead of the game isnt that a good thing?

yall need to stop listening to these "moral compasses" and give jamel hell

if you know people would take advantage of it, and you help perpetuate a possible voliile situaiton, you are in no way blameless

are you solely to fault, no.....of course not. the biggest culprit would be who got the number in the first place, then whoever actually left the inappropriate message, then anyone else who was actually involved

but heres the shitty part.....we are all part of the "LSU family" and when you, your friends or some dude living on brightside who got the number from your friends roomates girlfriend text this dude some stupid over the line bullshite, it looks bad on you, me, and anyone else going to the game tomorrow or supprting LSU anywhere

No apparently now we're so politically correct we can't even make fun of people anymore. I understand being concerned about stepping over the line....but i'm not going to sacrifice my responsible good natured fun in college because someone else goes further where i would have stopped. At that point its on them, not me, and they can reap the consequences and embarrassments from it. I'm not, however, going to let their actions affect mine.

So I give him my Phone # and tell him to text me when he gets out of gym. I'm at work and recieve the following text...

Jamel: Hey... we have a shoot around at the gym tonight... but I think its closed to the public :(

Jamel: Hey its jamel were leaving the stadium

Me: Hey sweetie just got into a fender bender. Think I might be out of commission for the night

Jamel: Awwww that's sad! I ordered room service champgne the whole nine yards

Needless to say I got his digits!!!!!!!!!!
what the hell are you even talking about? Are you speaking code, or Zulu, or Croatian or what?

Think of it this way. Remember the "Oh wee oh" chant for the football games? I loved that chant. Then some idiots ruined it by adding "you suck." Does that mean I shouldn't do the clean chant anymore because it will perpetuate the perversion of it? No it doesn't.

you really don't think someones provate phone number is "private"

do you really not think smack talk at a game, or tiger baiting is no different than dong this stuff by phone?

Back in the day, the Duke students tossed pizza boxes onto the court when N.C. State's Lorenzo Charles was introduced. Charles had stolen a pizza. In 1984, Maryland's Herman Veal had been accused, but never charged, with sexual misconduct. Duke students threw panties and inflated condoms at him.

"What they did with Herman Veal was over the line," said Jay Bilas, a former Duke player and assistant coach who's now an ESPN analyst.

this is clever

what LSU students are doing= lame.

tebow almost singled handidly beat LSU that night

i don't think the fan base damaged his performance at all

and players comments from francois, franks and others haven;t bother him either

point is, you don't how this affects a player, and it could just as easy work out as a negative or a positive
