As it stands today, this my prediction for next year's starting lineup. Still anticipate a few more elite transfers to enter the picture.

Starting Lineup:
Paxton Kling CF
Tanner Reaves 1B
Tommy White 3B
Jared Jones DH
Josh Pearson LF
Brady Neal C
Gavin Guidry SS
Michael Braswell 2B
Ethan Frey RF

Starting Rotation:
Thatcher Hurd
Grant Taylor
Chase Shores/Griffin Herring

Grant Taylor might go pro and recover while getting paid.

Might even be too soon for Taylor. I expect him to be worked in slowly like Coleman was this year.

If we’re including potential transfers, I’d like to add Jacob Mayers to the conversation.

Need to see who CJJ gets as LSU's new pictching coach. I think it will be between Shores and Herring unless CJJ lands another elite starting pitcher transfer i.e. Chase Burns

Very likely shores doesn’t pitch at all next year. Tommy John can be up to a 16 month recovery.

Yeah, I didn't really take recovery time into consideration. They might be done at LSU depending on their circumstances.

They’re going to be very aggressive in the portal to upgrade that lineup. That ain’t good enough for Jay

Too early to tell. If Chase Burns comes over….he’s in the rotation.

Didn't take his recovery time into consideration. Still has a year left until he can declare, I guess that syncs up with him recovery/rehab.

Frey is definitely going to have to get better defensively. In the small amount of playing time he got he misplayed a few balls

Yall are wasting your time. Look at our current lineup vs our roster the day after the season ended last year

I didn't think he was coming back based this year. He has a lot potential. But Brady Neal is a better catcher and a decent hitter, I think he'll really improve this offseason and will be hard to beat out.

I hope so. When it comes to replacing Crews, Dugas, and Thompson, you’re talking about replacing 45+ home runs. I think the JUCO guy (Reaves) could be up to 2B, but it’s still an unpredictable increase in the level of competition.

We need a few transfers that have an elite offensive resume. OF and middle infield should be open for business. I also think we should try for at least one high level weekend starter, and hope for the best with Taylor, Shores, and Noot.

Frey's probably out. I think CJJ is looking for a +1.000 OPS OF.

UCSB OF just entered the portal: Jared Sundstrom - Stats
