2023 LSU Weekend Rotation

I know it's very early to be discussing next season, but I would imagine Samuel Dutton and Javen Coleman would be 2 of the projected starters.
Is there a pitcher that is coming in next year that could be very dominant?

Grant Taylor has a better chance at being a weekend starter over Dutton next year. In a perfect world we don’t have to try on either of the two you mentioned to be in the weekend rotation next season.

I would doubt that Javen Coleman would be ready to pitch before the season starts, let alone carry a starter's workload.
If Lansville hadn't completely fallen off the map, I'd consider him a candidate.
Of the incoming recruits, Nate Ackenhausen and Adrian Siravo are JUCO starters that we will likely get to campus and will compete for weekend roles.

Will Hellmers will get a shot next season

Can we look at the 2024 season also? At this point in college athletics... looking anywhere beyond the current season or possibly the already committed next year guys would be a waste of time. IMO.

Two of our starters are returning, so I would start with Money and Dutton. Taylor looks like a possibility, too. Maybe Floyd develops s third pitch and improves his control of his fb and slider.

I see Floyd finally refining his breaking ball and locking in a spot.

Is Lansville simply a project at this point or what

I hope we have an incoming freshmen. I’m ready for another Nola gausman type!

I see NFLSU mentions Chase Shores for good reason.
Shores of Midland, Texas is a dominant 6'8 hard throwing right hander at Legacy High School who is headed for LSU if he plays college baseball.
But some wonder if he will be taken in the MLB draft, as pro scouts have attended some of his starts and he has been impressive. He is also a good hitter, at least on the high school level.

Nobody can argue he would be in the mix for a starter spot. He will not see campus is the issue.
