can we please force this freak to play TE?
Posted on 1/3/19 at 6:19 pm to iamandykeim
Yes please; he's not as fast as D Anderson, so TE is a better fit.

I’ve never seen him in person. But I think he has wide receiver arms.......not TE arms.
I think he does just fine at WR.

Yall are forgetting that we have thaddeus moss returning next season too. He's a legit tight end with great hands and ball skills. I expect him to be a serious threat in our offense next season. He's 6'4" 245 lbs and is a natural tight end with the size, strength, speed, physicality, and hands to be the best tight end we have had at LSU in a very long time. We have to utilize this guy next year.
Don't forget about racey mcmath also. He played some tight end this season with great results as well. I would like to see us utilize the tight end in our passing game more next season, and I believe they will, with the talent we have at the position.
I'm extremely excited about next season already, lol. We will be absolutely loaded at every position with a lot of returning starters and players with experience, even our backups. We will actually have a couple of gamebreaking rbs next year also with Davis and Emory...something we lacked this season. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Another way of saying he is too slight to be a te

I have no trust in Deculus at either tackle spot...his feet are just too slow.

This is surprising, too, because he was the quite the athlete when he was younger.
I think he needs to lose weight. He's 6'7", which is great height/length for a tackle. Hopefully he can get down into the 300-310lb range.

This.
He may not ever be a LT. But he can still battle for RT.
I looked at the roster and saw where both J Savage and C Wire are both 6-6 and 6-7 300 lb.
I really hope they can make a push. Wire needed weight and he got it added over 2018.

I'd be shocked if Pettigrew isn't the starting TE. He was looking extremely studly before he got hurt and he's nearly fully recovered already.
Really looking forward to this guy blossoming next year. We need TE production and yes, he was really looking good when he got injured.

Pretty high on TK huh
Well,
I wAs not. I felt there was no need to offer a JUCO te. I also don’t know shite compared to O and Ensmin........well never mind.
We have Pettigrew, McMath and Moss hopefully ready to go. I thought if we didn’t get Ziperer, that we would hold off on TE. I was wrong.
However, some are high on him and O apparently is too. So I put him at 1 since Pettigrew and Moss are still injured.

Since we aren't signing a Safety I've assumed for a while he's going back to Safety eventually and I think its a great move, the talent\depth\experience on the O line is great to see. Really hope it works out with Parker, after watching him I have no doubt he has all the tools to be a great LT by his RSSO\RSJR

I feel that way, yes.
I’ve he goes to corner, we will have:
8 cb
4 safety.
It just makes sense to put him at safety.

I am excited as well, but nothing indicates Moss stayed engaged while hurt. Chaisson was spirited and supportive. Until I see something that tells me Moss is hungry to play, I can’t trust in him.

You have D Cotton as a Junior next year. He was a Freshman this year and pretty sure he took a redshirt.

Brennan at 6’3” is bullshite.
He’s legitimately 6’5” and weighs in north of 190. His frame may make him look thin but don’t kid yourselves. He’s not a joe burrow, he’s not going to be asked to take the hits like that on a regular basis. Just like burrow is not going to be asked to throw the ball like Myles Brennan. When Brennan does take over he will be asked to throw the ball 35-40 times a game. He knows his job is to get the ball into the hands of his playmakers. Wait, isn’t that what they do in the NFL?

You will not see an LSU QB throw that much in a game unless we've given a 21 point lead in the 3rd quarter. You don't bring in Davis and Emery and throw the ball that much.
