21-8 record.

Look at how many of those 21 teams had 8 or more wins. (3-4) Then look at the 8 teams he lost to. If you do that and still think 21-8 isn’t bad I can’t help you.

Bottom line is a coach O coached team can’t be a 9-10 win team. He’s gonna face 4-5 9-10 win teams this year. He’ll lose 80% of games vs another 9-10 win team.

Your post sounded very level headed and not biased at all.

Yeah anyone that actually pays attention to sports wants that.
The whole “I love being an underdog” shite is overplayed.

You’re the underdog for a reason. It’s not s good thing when you’re expected to lose.

I swear to god I read this and thought “no way in hell would Auburn hire O”.

I'm filled with high hopes too. I've got Aranda, Burrow, and several ace receivers. The d-line is underrated, and I believe we'll be OK with the o-line. If E turns out to be a good OC, we could be dangerous. Granted, I wouldn't bet a penny on this bunch, but again, my HOPES are running high.

Yes, genius. For that matter, I am only concerned with his brief time at LSU. I am therefore using his 15-6 record. It's called salience. Things that are most relevant to an assessment.

How is an interim year that has almost no bearing on running your own program more relevant to years actually spent running his own program?

Offensive line is really hurting. Again, we’re not gonna run the ball on bama. This will adversely affect the entire offense

Sounds like an awful lot of possibilities, I thinks, and assuming

And ignoring facts you want to ignore

I think O can win at LSU. I’d bet on the last 4 years if Miles teams is what I’m sure O can match. ? Is can he get LSU to the first 4 years of Miles tenure? I think he’s done enough so far to get this year and next the evaluation time. If we Bottom out this season that’s another issue.

Why are so many fans sold on the “Aranda is the best DC in the nation” statement ? I’m not so sure. In his best year at Wisconsin, 2015, he had the benefit of weak offenses to pad the stats. In the opener of 2015, Bamer put up over 500 yards and 35pts.

We are paying him 2+ million annually. I expected better than top 20 rush and pass defense. Too high expectations I suppose.

Maybe better this year ......hope you are right.

I mean there really is only like 3-4 DCs I’d put in the conversation.

Long ways from November... furthermore we couldn’t run on them with LF7, perhaps it’s time to try a diff approach.

Like employment history when deciding if a potential employer is a good hire?

this is exactly my argument of many topics. Lately it's the Fulton penalty.

Can you imagine how this board would blast Fulton if he played for Alabama, Auburn, etc for cheating on a drug test and then trying to get the penalty reduced???

And for O, can you imagine how this board would ridicule another team for hiring a guy with O's resume??? Hell, this board is now claiming Jimbo isn't a good coach!!!

I know there are a lot of homers on this board, but damn.
