still not a lead back. they split carries.

He had 30 carries in the bama game in 2012

He was the best back on the team, just took miles a few games to figure it out ala keiland Williams in 2006

There's probably more truth to that in your head than there is actually IRL

Hill led LSU in carries in 2012 but he wasn't a lead back. And as i said, he was a 20 year old Freshman.

shoot, same thing dating back to justin vincent. He was 21 at the end of his FR season.

keiland was also a 20 yr old FR

hill is also basically the only guy to be lead back 2 years in a row, if memory serves

the RBs who emerged as the primary guy over the year in the modern era of LSU football:

2003: JV
2004: Alley
2005: Addai
2006: Keiland
2007: Hester
2008: Scott
2009: True RGBC...if memory serves our RBs all got hurt that year
2010: Ridley
2011: Ware
2012: Hill
2013: Hill (outlier)

there is tons of roster overlap in those years. in most (not every, admittedly) years, a formerly "talented" upperclassman RB got overshadowed by a young (perception as "talented" created) RB. this is just what has happened for a decade..through miles and saban

LSU better pray that the injury bug stays away from the RB's because if my projections are correct we will start next season with two freshmen (Williams and Fornette) and Magee as the only RB,s. Depth on the defensive line is not the only depth issue on this team.

Do you know how many former backs we can put in if needed? Voorhies, Upchurch, Louis, etc.. Did you know that FSU has a 5 star (#3 player in the nation) safety playing RB this year, Karlos Williams. He is the backup with 700 yards and 11 TDs.

he'll be the lead back in 2015. Not next year.

yes, Magee is better than Hilliard, i agree.

But both will be SRs and get carries. I'm honestly shocked at amount of people that think Fournette will be the lead back over 2 talented SRs. On an offense that will have a brand new QB, new WRs, and maybe 1-2 new offensive lineman. not happening

Fournette will finish 30 carries higher than any other back next year.

neither whom were SRs.

and jeremy hill was a 20 year old FR

and Mett a 4th year JR

Hill got 33% of the carries between our 5 running backs(including hilliard and blue)

Hill started the last 7 games of the year when Miles decided not to be dumb. He averaged over 18 carries a game during that span.

having Upchurch at TE, even though right now Jacory is a TE and Upchurch is a WR in high school…

Jacory is coming is as a TE and Upchurch has WR, don't know what you're hearing.

not out of the question. Still wouldnt make him a lead back. Are you the one that thinks he'll run for 1600 yards next year?
