Improved Pass Rush takes pressure off any DB. Look for better play from second level players. Better LB play also good for secondary. Don't forget better offense makes your Defense look better.

i'm thinking they very well could give up that many against certain teams; arky, a&m and possibly bama and usce

There is absolutely no way A&M scores in the 20's on us. I'm predicting single digits.

Luckily we only play one really good passing team, Arkansas, and it's the last regular season game. Plenty of time for gelling.

This is where we have a disconnect from hype and reality. The SEC is the best conference, but its a complete myth that every week is a war against a legit national title contender. Florida and Tenn have great history, but neither were very good last year.

If you are worried about the secondary,we play at most 2 teams with really good QB's depending on what you think about MCCarron. Outside of Arky , whose passing game scares you out of: AU, UF, A&M,, maybe USCe? OM and MSU we'd be ok with 4 dudes from TD out there.

Nah, Adams, Wright and Childs all were seniors. Hamilton is a SR this year, I believe. Their projected #2 guy, Marquel Wade got kicked off the team this offseason though. He could have been a real threat in the passing game, especially to alleviate some of the coverage focused on Hamilton.

Yea I knew they were in trouble when I heard they were converting that kid from Amite (name escapes me) from a QB to WR.

Thanks!

Its true though, its a chicken position to take. Its a very negative view point and trying to have it both ways. Its very possible we lose a game or 2. Tough road schedule, there's bound to be some surprise team out there.

We are lacking expirienced depth in the secondary. Of course that was the case in 2010 as well. Unless all the studs we recruited are busts or all 4 or our starters get hurt, its really not that big of a deal, especially with the pass rush we have.

How far has LSU come when the "weak link" is a RS Junior that was the #1 safety recruit in the nation?
